Vehicle Detail

1917 Dort Fleur de Lyse for Sale I have a RARE 1917 Dort Cloverleaf/Fleur de Lyse Roadster made in Flint Michigan for sale. A Cute Parade Car! It has a mostly restored body, interior and chassis with the original four-cylinder Lycoming engine. This car was stripped to the frame, dipped and built back up. Some parts don't fit as tight as they should. The complete cosmetic restoration was not finished. There are a couple of minor dings in the paint. No dents. The car was last driven in September 2010. It travels steady at 30-35 MPH. The original gas tank has been bypassed because of it's condition and there is a small auxillary gas tank affixed. Clutch was replaced with one from another parts car within the last 10 years and works great. Steering wheel and tire spokes are all new wood. Brakes are good. We have the original wooden braces for the top ( they are deteriorating ). They could be used as a template to make new ones. The mounts are included. There is a wheel ring to mount the back spare tire. There are headlights and taillights which are not wired. There are other miscellaneous parts and 2 original manuals .One manual says Dort Motor Cars Book of Instruction, the other says Dort Parts Price List. This was my father's project. He passed away a couple of years ago and I need to close the estate. Please email or call with questions: 503.657.5191(Please no calls before 8am or after 9pm PST) We have restoration pictures. Accelerator is on the steering wheel. Electric starter is on the floor. We fired it up this weekend and drove around our little town. Car was made with only one taillight not two. We noticed a minor oil leak, but hey, what 96 yo car doesn't leak a little oil? Sale of this car is "as is" so please email or call with questions.
