This 1979 Trans Am runs and drives great! It's a lot of fun. The motor is a trans plant '74 (not original) it came with the 6.6. I just put new dual exaust and 3:21 rear end gears. Everything underneath has been done breaks, lines, ball joints ect. There isn't any rust on the frame. Shocks gas tank were done a few years ago but it hardly gets driven. It's been stored in a heated grage and the oil changed every spring and fall. I changed the plugs, fuel filter, flushed the radiator. New battery last month. I'm looking for an old step side pick up. My boy and I are going to build a monster truck. The car can be seen and even driven at my house. It's on the road and just passed NYS inspection last week. I got an e-mail about the tranny and checked the sticker under the hood it is original 4-speed. the sticker says 6.6 liter manual transmission.
