Vehicle Detail
Clean, Solid and Transformable California Truck! Here’s my 1964 IH Scout that I’ve spent the last nine years having fun with. Bought it as a non-op out of a guy’s driveway and from what the former owner told me it had spent most of it’s life in his family’s ownership. Most of the time was in California with a brief stint in the AZ. Here’s some the things I’ve done with it over the past nine years: New Piston Rings New Clutch Disc and Throwout Bearing New Clutch Master New Brake Master and Brake Hydraulics New Brakes (about 20K on them now) New Starter/Solenoid New Alternator/Air-Gap Regulator New U-Joints New Blower Motor New Muffler New Fuel Tank Filler Hoses New Front Wheel Bearings Remanufactured Carb (Holley 1904) BF Goodrich 31”X10.5” KO’s (About 15K miles on them now) Electric Wiper Motor Conversion Custom Tie-Rod Conversion (Stock one was scary-loose!) Overall Condition: Mechanical: Starts, stops and runs great! Stays in gear, shifts smooth and all 4X4 functions work (hubs lock, low range works, etc.) I will warn you however that 55MPH is about as fast as these three speed rigs will go! Both fuel tanks work and will give you about a 250 mile range. Electrical: All lights and gauges work except for the fuel gauge. Air-gap voltage regulator will stick from time to time (doing the ‘one-wire’ conversion would solve this issue for good) Electric windshield wipers work well but are noisy. Body: Mostly straight but has a fair share of scrapes and scratches, bed was well used (see pics), travel top is a bit rough but usable Paint: Beyond hope but presentable when it’s clean Rust: Rust free in all of the typically bad spots (Floors, frame , etc), some surface rust here and there. Solid floors. Glass: All good with no cracks, side windows missing on travel top Interior: Seat is good but could use a cover, pretty clean except for holes in radio delete plate (never have been able to find a new one) Far from a showroom beauty but fun to run around town in… always gets attention! Very capable off road… pulled many people out of the snow and sand over the years. Comes with the half-cab as well as a funky travel top and can even be run without doors if you want! Low Starting Bid and No Reserve! Send your questions, I will answer them all. Sorry No International Bidders Please Thanks for Looking!
