For Sale 1976 Pontiac FactoryTrans-AM Originally 455 4-Speed Project, Engine CODE "WX", Factory Paint Code 36 Firethorn RED.This T/A Project has the best Vin numbers "check it out".The codes are RARE and popular."See the Cowl Pic",loaded with great codes. This project came out of Texas.It has a good/Clear Indiana Title. My friend owns this T/A. He is selling this TA because he switched gears to restore a 1971 GTO Project.This T/A has an above average solid body/condition for it's age.SEE PICS. Trunk area had water get past the weather seal "see pic". Floor pans are not perfect BUT very nice for this year.The body is very nice, clear coat is peeling off the paint.This T/A is not perfect or rust free,however if your looking for the best deal this week HERE it is.It does have a great body to Restore.And loaded with Factory goodies,Power windows,Power Steering,Power Disc Brakes,Air Condition,Tilt Wheel,RTS Radio Tuned Suspension,Factory Tach Max RPM 80X100 Red line,Factory Clock,Full Gauges from the Factory, Temp,Oil Presure,....Rear Defrost,4-speed with Factory Console,Big Block 455 code WX Car from the factory.I have decoded the engine on the front IT IS CORRECT for 76 TA 455 MANUAL CODE "WX" We have not checked the trans or Rear-End to check for number matching. Was told it has a 3:23 Posi Rear End. We noticed it still has it's ID Tag on the Rear-End.Cowl Tag and Vin Tag are still on the T/A.Original Radio and Seats.This T/A will need a full restoration to be a very high dollar show Car. Currently not prepared to run. I was told from the Texas mechanic it runs, but since the engine was making an irregular noise.The starter was disconnected to stop the transport driver from running the motor for loading purposes,which could cause damage. I personally have never heard the motor run, or tried to fire it up."Plan on rebuilding the drive-tran during the restoration".
