Up for sale is my very rare cutlass calais.I had the car for sale here a month ago and since then i have done some more work on it. This car was specially ordered with the borg-warner T-50 5 speed trans and you could only get that with a 260 olds v8.Only a hand full of these were made in the states and in Canada with this one coming from texas.The calais is the sport version of the cutlass having 442 suspension,euro reclining bucket seats,gauge package and waterfall grills.This car also was ordered with the N78 aluminum wheels witch was standard on the 79 HURST OLDS. only these were not painted gold.This car runs and drives very well and the engine and trans have been rebuilt previously.I have met the original owner of this car and she had lots of stories to share.The car was originally a 2 tone silver/dark grey and has the blue interior.Sadly the limit slip was replaced with a non posi unit but with the gearing the 5th gear is not needed unless your doing 80.the seats have all the chrome and the gauges work but the speedo is iffy sometimes and the dash lights don't work.the engine is all stock and will need some carb adjustments to pass the california smog test. I have paid extensive late fees but i lost my job and can no longer put anymore money in this car.It needs to pass the smog test to get the title but i have all the paperwork done and it is in my name.I have done research on this car and can't find another one like it.The body is in fantastic shape and the only rust anywhere is the battery tray itself.the interior needs to be redone and all the glass is in great shape also.Rear bumper and plastic filler need help i have replaced the front bumper and filler.Car lights and blinkers work as well as wipers and reverse lights.Good tires and brakes. I hope to sell this time so happy bidding you will end up with a one of a kind classic!
