1998 Honda TRX 450S History and Condition This unit must be sold at auction - No Direct Offers will be Accepted! Humboldt County does not conduct "2nd Chance" auctions and you should notify eBay if you get a suspicious offer... This ATV was seized by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and has been stored as evidence for legal proceedings which are completed. There are no maintenance records available. The odometer says it's got 4,296 miles on it. It started by using it's own battery. The rear wheels and hand guards appear to be after-market. It has a trailer ball mounted. The tires appear to be in good condition. Noted Defects: The factory seat is missing. The front bumper has been smacked and bent. The tail light bulbs are removed, lenses appear to be OK. The Gauge panel mount is missing - home made repair. The gauge faceplate is scratched and fogged. The rear compartment rubber latch is broken. Rear fender rubber trim pieces are cracked. Misc. fasteners on the body are missing. Numerous brush scratches and other dings and minor rust. Most of these defects can be examined by looking at the "More Pictures" slideshow. The engine is in good running condition and the transmission appears to work well. It started easily, and appeared to run smoothly, during a recent inspection. No other testing has been done. Non US Bids This seller does not accept PayPal - and that may cause eBay to not accept bids from other countries. Warranty This ATV is not DOA - No other warranty is implied. Sold As/Is - Where/Is. Reserve Price There is a reserve price on this auction of just $1,226. Sales Conditions The winning bidder has 5 business days to pay $750 as a deposit, with balance due in 10 more business days. That's 15 total business days for complete payment. All payments must be certified, no COD. All payments are made out to "Humboldt County Sheriff's Office". Sorry, no credit cards, PayPal or other online payment system will be accepted. Payments can be processed Monday through Friday by the county offices, but you or your shipper can only get access to the generator on Mondays and Tuesdays. Storage and Shipping This ATV is presently being stored at a county facility in Eureka, California (North Coast about 100 miles south of Oregon). The winning bidder must make all arrangements to pick it up. No shipping arrangements will be planned or undertaken by county employees although the county does have equipment to load this ATV onto a trailer for shipping. The storage yard is only open on Mondays and Tuesdays and you or your shipper will need to contact the county before going to the facility. The winner must remove the ATV from Humboldt County property within 1 week (7 days) after final payment or storage fees will be assessed. All contact/payment information will be provided to the winning bidder at end of auction. Legal Contract The County's Remedy for Breach of Contract: Where the successful bidder wrongfully rejects or revokes acceptance of goods or fails to make a payment due on or before delivery or repudiates with respect to a part of the whole, then with respect to any goods directly affected and, if the breach is of the whole contract, then also with respect to the whole undelivered balance, the County may, (a) withhold delivery of such goods; (b) resell the goods and recover damages as provided in Section 2706 of the Uniform Commercial Code of California; (c) recover damages for non-acceptance; (d) pursue any other legal remedy available to it.
