Here we go guys and gals, up for auction is my 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7. I purchased this car about a year ago in hopes to restore it, but guess what? Job went south, I got hurt and now I can't do s**t to this classic car, but watch it sit there. So since I don't have a job and the creditors don't care, well I need to pay some bills. This will be a "No Reserve" Auction and the highest bidder will get her. She's not perfect by any means, but she is very solid for a Cougar her age. The only cancer is in the left rear quarter and that is very big at all. She does have a little surface rust coming through in the front portion of the right rear quarter, but only surface so there is time to catch it. Floors are solid. Car runs and drives as it is, but she is an unmolested original. I even have the original purchase docs from original owner, along with his maintainence records and his cancelled check from he when he bought the car back in 1968 in New Jersey where he was stationed. Then the car spent the rest of her life in the southwest. Power train is a the original 302 2bbl that came in the car from the factory, with a 3 speed auto tranny. The bad: The carb needs to be rebuilt (it loads up) The speedometer doesn't work Left front fender needs to be repaired or replaced Headliner needs to be replaced Driver's seat needs to be recovered Rear seat needs to be recovered So there it is people, good luck and happy bidding. I forgot to list that the cam in the shifter is bad, so it will also need a new shifter, unless you know how to fix them. The vehicle is still operational, but I want to make sure I list everything for everyone to know. I did not realize that the photos were so small, so I took some of the shock towers and the trunk. Sorry, I do not have a lift so I could not get pics of the torque boxes (they are solid). I will try and angle my camera to get at least one shot of each box. I upsize the pixels on my camera to get the larger pics, so that you could at least download them and look at the areas of concern. Again thank you for all of your interest and good luck. Bob
