Vehicle Detail
1987Jeep Grand WagoneerVery Original SurvivorOnly 79,000 Original MilesTrue One Owner Jeep! Some history on the Brougham: A new Brougham model added an upgraded interior trim that included woodgrain for the instrument cluster and horn cover, floor mats, power tailgate window, as well as the "Convenience" and "Light" Packages. The Brougham's exterior included a thin side body scuff moulding with a narrow woodgrain insert, roof rack, as well as bright door and quarter window frames, and a lower tailgate moulding. First year of the Brougham model was in 1982 and the last year of the brougham model was in 1984. The Brougham model, although not quite as luxurious as the Grand Wagoneer, is far more rare. The Wagoneer was produced from 1984-1991, again, where as the Brougham was only produced from 1982-1984. Although it doesn't have all the options that the Grand Wagoneer has, the Brougham wasn't as desirable for the time being. Because of this over the years the Broughams were let to fall apart, now in 2011, they are desirable because there are so few remaining. This is the only Brougham on ebay currently and has been for nearly 2 months. You are bidding on a true one owner 1982 Jeep Wagoneer Brougham. It has 79,000 actual miles. The AuctoCheck History Report that ebay provides confirms it as being a one owner. The car has been sitting in a dry barn for the better part of 12 years. Prior to that, the vehicle was used at the cabin for commuting around since it was new. Overall the body is in nice original shape. No bondo and nothing is rusted through. There is a silver dollar sized paint chipThe door jams are all clean. There is a little rust on the bottom lip of a couple of the doors. Again, nothing is rusted through. Everything opens and closes as it should. The glass is all original and in excellent shape. The chrome and emblems are all original and in nice shape. The roof rack is in nice shape. The interior is in really nice condition. There are no cracks in the dash or rips in the seats. The headliner should be replaced to be perfect. The carpet is in great condition as well. There are a few minor stains in the rear cargo area, nothing major and would shampoo out. All turn signals work, high beams, low beams, the radio is intermittent, the dome lights need to be replaced, the windshield wipers work, the AC AND Heat work, however the AC needs recharge. When the vehicle was first inspected the rear tailgate window did go up and down, however yesterday it stopped working. It could be a fuse. The 4.2 6 Cylinder runs excellent! It starts right up and will idle forever. The transmission shifts flawlessly. It will need either a new battery or a new alternator. Because the vehicle has been sitting, I would suggest going through all the fluids and give it a tune up. It runs as if it had just been tuned up however. It tracks down the road nice and straight. The front end is tight and the Jeep feels stout at 65 miles per hour. The brakes are sound. This is an original vehicle, with a little work, it could be perfect. This would be the perfect car to go through and have at the Lake Home. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find Jeeps like this, especially in this type of condition. This is your opportunity to own a true one owner, low mile, rare Jeep Wagoneer Brougham! Please do not bid unless you intend to pay. I help people sell their classic cars and it causes a lot of issues on no reserve auctions when someone decides they do not want to pay. I have to work with ebay to have them remove a $100 listing fee and then start the process over. Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. If you would like to set up a time to come view or test drive, message me. Thank you and happy bidding!
