Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Thank you for taking the time to look at the vehicle I have for sale. Up for auction is a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. This vehicle has been in my family since it was new, I purchased it from my Grandparents in 2005, and yes I can honestly say this was my grandmother’s car! About 3 years ago, the front and rear struts were replaced. This was a very costly repair, but it makes the car drive and ride like a dream About 2 years ago the head gaskets were replaced by a professional mechanic. This is a common issue with this year of intrepid, but rest assured that this repair was already done. At the same time the valves and valve stem seals were replaced by a machine shop. At the same time the tie rods were replaced. Also the motor mounts were replaced. The cradle bushings were also replaced at this time. Just before the beginning of this year all 4 tires were replaced at our local Firestone. The tire brand is Prime Well, size 225-60-16. Although these are not a “name brand” tire, they came highly recommended. They were about $60 each, winding up costing about $300, the vehicle was driven very little after this because of the severity of the winter, and we mostly drove a truck. At the same time the “strut rod” on the driver side rear was replaced. This week I changed the oil and filter, so the winning bidder won’t have to worry about it. Also this week just before the photos I had the interior professionally steam cleaned and scotch guarded. Included with the auction is an extra set of center wheel covers, which I acquired in my goings on. Also please notice that the spare tire has been exchanged for a matching rim and full size tire! The tire is as equally as new as the other tires and is a Goodyear Eagle GT 225-60-16. In 2010 the Intrepid passed Cuyahoga County E-check!! Well, now you have all the good info, let’s talk about the bad. The car has a few dings and scrapes, honestly not more that I would expect for a vehicle of its age and mileage, but it has never been in an accident, please see the detailed pictures. The vehicle also have some spots of rust, but none of them inhibit any functionality of the doors trunk, hood etc., these also have pictures. Although the car was smoked in and there are a few small burns, it has been years since the vehicle has been smoked in. I am a non smoker and can not tell. There is also a small chip in the windshield that is barely noticeable (couldn’t get a good picture). I have been told for 4 years that it will crack more in winter, well it has been through 4 since and nothing has happened. Although the car does have A/C it does not work, the compressor is good, and if charged will ice cold for about a week but it has a leak that I am yet to find. There is an exhaust leak that makes the car rather loud, but did not prevent it from passing Cuyahoga County E-Check, which it passed and is current.
