Vehicle Detail
1966 Chrysler 300Here for your bidding pleasure is a native Arizonan. She is as rust free as you will find. No rot anywhere on this car, just surface rust from the AZ sun cooking the paint off. The body is also straight as an arrow, no dents or collision damage. The car has been parked for about 2 years now and needs some work to be road worthy again. Below I will give a breakdown of the cars pros and cons and some of the options it has.383 4 barrel, 727 trans, power steering, power drum brakes, power driver seat, power windows, A/C, sentinal lights and vacuum operated trunk releaseBody/Chassis:As mentioned above, the body is super nice. No real body work or rust repair needed. It is factory bright silver with a white vinyl top. The top is cooked off and the paint is wearing thin. The under body is rust free with clean rails and floors. Even the trunk floor is perfectly clean, not even surface rust. All the panels are original to the car. They line up good and the trunk, hood and doors all close nice and tight.Interior:The interior really isnt that bad. It needs front seat covers but the driver side has had a cover over it most of its life and is still pretty good. The rear seat is near perfect. The car will need a carpet kit, dash pad and door panel work. The headliner was redone at some time, doesnt look perfect but gets the job done. The original radio has been replaced with an aftermarket am/fm/tape player. Drive train:The car still has the original engine and tranny. The engine runs good, no smoke or horrible noises. It still has the original Carter AFB 4 barrel carb and manifolds. At some time someone put a dual exhaust system on the car. It looks good and sounds good. Its not flowmasters or anything loud like that, just good old rumble. The fuel system will need cleaned out due to it sitting for the past 2 years. The transmission will need work. It slips in reverse and forward gears and was the reason the car was parked. The car moves enough to load and unload from a trailer. The 8 3/4 is still there but I dont know the ratio. The brakes seem to work okay and the power booster holds vacuum. The tires are good as well, good tread and not dry rotted.Glass and trim and electrical:All the emblems and trim are accounted for except the small vent piece on the passenger side door. The bumpers need rechromed and the back one has a dent under the right back up light that needs fixed. All the glass is good, no scrapes or chips. All 4 window motors work but the door glass on both sides has come off the track and need reinstalled. The rear ones need lubed up. The power driver seat works too. All in all this is a super clean project and will be beautiful when completed. I have a clean AZ title for the car as well. I require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of auction end. I can also store the car for as long as needed but it must be paid for in full. No one with under 10 feedbacks is to bid unless they contact me first. Other wise I will cancel your bid. Please ask questions if you have them. NO RESERVE!!! Enjoy.
