For Sale: 1969 Ford Thunderbird Fordor. This vehicle was purchased from my Father in Laws Neighbor last year after her husband passed. They had been the second owners since 1988. The car was driven regularly until roughly 2003 or 2004 and was parked. After purchasing the car, I was going to begine with having the engine tuned, Carb rebuilt, and the engine generally gone through to make this my own work in progress. Unfortunately after replacing the points, cap, rotor, plugs and wires life happened and i placed this car at the bottom of my list. After losing My father in December 2010, I totally lost my desire to restore this classic and have decided to sell it. The car itself is in pretty good shape considering the fact that it's over 40 years old. It came from the factory with the 429 Thunderjet package, partnered with the C6 transmission. (both are known for their performance and durability) This model has all the factory options for the Day including complete Air Conditioning, power windows and doors, and dual exhausts. I have gone through all fluids and can say that for a car that has been sitting for quite a few years it really looks pretty good. As you can see from the pictures, I have removed the exterior material from the Landau Roof but have kept all the chrome trim intact. The exterior has a few rusted areas as shown, but after doing some research i have been able to find repair panels available online. I will be more than happy to attempt to answer any questions you may have concerning this vehicle so feel free to ask. I do still have the original Wheels for this car and two out of the four hubcaps. I added the chrome wheels in order to move the vehicle from its original location. Due to its location and present condition, this car will need to be towed.
