You are bidding on a 1950's Ferrari Bimbo Racer v12 Electric Car. A little bit about the vehicle: Built by S.I.L.A. in Turin, Italy and styled by the famous Italian auto designer Giovanni Michelotti, these wonderful child's cars were based on the open Ferrari spyder of the day, with a shapely sculpted fiberglass body, electric motor, and working lights - what more could a kid ask for? These are fun child's vintage sports cars in the same class as the Baby Bugatti of the 1920’s. Many of these ended up in the families of prominent people, and it’s believed that Dwight D. Eisenhower's grandchildren had them! Imported into the USA by Ferrari, Inc. of San Francisco. Period advertising in this country proclaimed them as 'A Real Car - for pre-teen men and women of distinction'. Wayne Carini sold one completely restored in 2009 for over $17,000 for charity. I acquired this vehicle recently and don't have the time or money to give this car the restoration it deserves. It is completely taken apart and in parts as someone was trying to restore it. It has about 85% of the original parts. It has an original Bimbo Racer Motor that works awesome. I connected it to battery charger and starts right away. It has the 4 original Pirelli tires which are not in the best of shape but still usable with the original Pirelli tubes that hold air perfectly. It has the original body which has all the original decal/emblems on it. Has the original serial number on the frame. Has the original windshield but you will need a new one. Has the original steering wheel but cracked. Has the original headlight frames but you will need new ones. The front steering that holds the 2 wheels needs to be welded. The white body has very very shallow cracking which can be fixed easily. Has some small pieces missing on the edges of the body. I apologize for the disorganization of this but there is a lot to write. Any questions feel free to email me as I am sure I forgot a bunch of things. I will post as many pictures as possible. I have never shipped something this big before and will be completely the responsibility of the buyer to pay for.
