Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful 1931 Cadillac, Auburn, Dusenberg, FREE SHIPPING in the U, S, This car is almost 100% Rust Free. The car chassis looks almost new. The chassis is 1931 Cadillac, the body is Auburn (who bought Dusenberg). The V-12 engine Block is the original engine with matching numbers. I have the paperwork to prove it. Also included is a 1930 V-12 Cadillac engine (on the floor) with Transmission that turns. I have the paperwork that shows where the engine came from. It comes with a Distributor cap that is worth $500. It is missing the Carburetors, water pump, and Generator. This engine is worth $8 to $10 thousand. Also included is a V-8 1936-37 Cadillac engine that has a late 60's Rochester Carburetor and starts right up. The transmission shifts good and does ot grind or make noise in any gear. (I tried it with the engine running). The build sheet related to the chassis shows it's a Cadillac Series 370 (V-12 1931). Job number 31159 (matching) Engine number 1004844 and was shipped August 4, 1931 to Don Lee Inc. of Los Angeles, CA. Don Lee was a famous Cadillac Distributor. Car can be registered as a 1031 V-12 Cadillac. Parts Value 1. Excellent condition 6 wheels and tires 7.50-18 $3,500 2. Trunk 1931 Cadillac V-12 $650 3. Thanks for your interest. The parts are probably worth $30,000. This car has unlimited potential. On Jun-14-11 at 06:21:53 PDT, seller added the following information: The complete drive train of the car (Chassis, engine, transmission, differential)and radiator grill,ID tag,and production papers,is from a 1931 Cadillac 370 v12. The Cab or body with doors is from a 1931 Auburn 2 door sedan, the hard metal top was removed to turn into a Rollston coachwork convertible victoria, The fenders, I'm not sure but judging by the line in the middle and the perfect way it fits on the Auburn body must be Auburn. I included pictures of a 31 Auburn sedan so you can see the body style it came from,I also included the picture of the Duesemberg that was inspiring the construction of this rebodied Cadillac v12, The body lines of the 1931 Auburn are very similar to the Duesembergs of that era. Since the Body cowl is Auburn and the radiator grill is Cadillac 370 the hood needed to be Hand rolled or made to fit the vehicle, the side grills still need to be finished and installed, the louvers on it are just paper templates or prints just to see what it would look like ,we decided to go with the Duesenberg Murphy style hood side mesh grill,we have the stainless steel mesh materials to do it and are included on the sale, this is the original type material use on cars of the 30's and is in perfect condition. So the doors are not prolonged or it's not a 4 door turn into 2 doors ,The body is an original 2 door sedan turned into a convertible, just the way it was done back in the 30's. On Jun-14-11 at 07:19:30 PDT, seller added the following information: The picure of the Dusenberg and the Auburn (last three pictures) are for reference only. These two cars were the idea to create the car you are bidding on. On Jun-14-11 at 14:06:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is titled as a 1931 Cadillac Convertible. The Vin on the title matches the metal Plate on the firewall. On Jun-15-11 at 06:10:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note The Free Delivery is only to the lower 48 states.
