Vehicle Detail
1949 ford on a 1992 s-10 chassis. it has (4) SMC 3/8 valves, YORK 210 compressor, 8 gallon airtank, SLAM Specialties 2600 bags in front 2700 in rear, SuicideDoors 3 link in rear, all 3/8 copper hardlined... truck lays front fenders and full runningboards its a 92 GMC sonoma chassis, 2.8 engine (throttlebody injected), 5speed tranny, 17" chip FOOSE wheels with brand new tires and a flowmaster exhaust. the truck still has power steering, power brakes, tilt steering, i added a CD player, fosgate 500watt amp and (2) shallow mount kicker 10's. the truck starts up, runs, drives and gets ALOT of looks. i have it tagged and insured ( as a 1992 GMC sonoma ** factory sonoma vin tags are still in factory location on the trucks firewall**) and ive been driving it to work for the last few weeks, about 75 miles round trip and havent had a problem yet. It still has a COMPLETELY stock sonoma frame, it wasnt cut up when i swapped the bodys or when i bagged it, i just welded a few crossmembers in so its actually stronger now than before i touched it. headlights work, brakelights work ( no turn signals) A/C works awesome in the winter and heat works great in the summer. When doin 65-70 in the highway and u air it out, it throws amazing sparks....however it does take a toll on the fenders and runningboards, there wearing down a little from dragging. it has suicide hood hinged, suicide doors ( regular barn door hinges, they hold great tho!), grey goose vodka bottle in front for a radiator overflow, new brake pads, new battery and i dunno what all else.... i did alot of work to this damn thing it does need a few things, theres (2) holes in the floors that i havent welded up yet, it needs new shocks and it needs seatbelts. the back window is busted out, it has no side glass and the windshield has been shot with a small caliber rifle in 3 or 4 places but they didnt go all the way thru. Its an old truck, it has no weather stripping so stuff rattles and bangs. the truck really needs (4) more valves put in so you can lift each corner individually, it airs up a little crooked cause of the weight distribution on each corner. this is an easy fix, i think valves are $30 apiece for SMC's i prob missed some stuff, if you have any questions just ask THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPINGOn Jun-11-11 at 18:00:07 PDT, seller added the following information: i just wanna be clear.... the truck is drivable, it runs/drives and is legal BUT it needs work.... to be a good daily driven ride it neds side windows, a couple floor patches that i didnt finish, shocks and (4) more valves so it lifts and airs out nice and even on all 4 corners. ive had several people ask if it can be driven home, me personally im not affraid to drive the truck anywhere cause im very familiar with how its wired and built, if it was to fail on me i would know where to look first for the problem.... you as a new buyer arent gonna be as familiar and you may be stranded if something were to happen so id suggest it be trailered home if you are more than 100 miles or so from me. ALSO, i didnt mention it earlier, i cut the floors out of the 49 cab and left the sonoma floors on the frame and just made filler plates to attach the ford cab to the sonoma floors so the floors are really sturdy On Jun-16-11 at 18:06:09 PDT, seller added the following information: this is a link to the build pics of the truck... thats all the pics i took of it and all i have of it http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f30/my-new-build-49-ford-457026/
