Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a rare BMW Z3 M Roadster. There were only 15,000 of the M roadsters built between 1998 and 2002 and this includes production for both North American and European markets. There are many differences between the standard Z3 and the M roadsters. A few including a much more powerful 3.2 L S52 engine with 240 HP and 236 foot pound of torque with 4 valves per cylinder. The M uses the ZF type C5 speed manual gearbox, a ventilated rear end differential and has the E36M3 4 wheel ventilated (cross drilled) disc brakes both front & rear. The M has 7.5 X17 in. wheels in the front and 9 X17in. rear. The body has wide fenders and dual exhaust. The M group at BMW made this car to surpass Porsche efforts in the late 1990's, and I do believe they succeeded. AND - it gets 26 mpg on the highway!! My M roadster is in very good condition. It starts, runs and drives like a new car. The color combination of this M roadster is Artic Silver, rare dark blue top and equally rare Estoril Blue & black Nappa leather interior. The leather seats are in fantastic shape and the tires have 90% tread remaining on the front and about 60% on the rear. The car is loaded with options like power folding top, power windows, cruise control, power & heated seats, full gages including oil temp. , 6 disc CD player to name a few. The retro gages are ringed in chrome. Audio upgrades include Alpine stereo amps (one main, one for subwoofer), Boston Acoustic main speakers with remote tweeters by crossovers and a JL subwoofer. Oklahoma title is clear, but there is a problem with CarFax showing a flood car entry. The history - the original Arkansas owner in 2000 @ about 29k miles, drove the car through a shallow creek and it stalled out, allowing water to enter the cabin by a measure of 2-3 inches. His insurance company paid him in full and sold the car to a company in OKC who cleaned up the car and replaced the only problem of shorted out electric motors that control the power seats. I happened to be at the OKC shop when the car arrived and I actually saw the water line on the interior before he cleaned up the car and understood what I was buying. I suppose since the damage was minimal, the title came in clean (green in Oklahoma) and NOT salvage. I have owned and babied this car for the last 10 years and only recently decided to trade it for an SUV. In the process of a possible trade, I became aware that CarFax has the incident entered and recommends a deduct of $843 from the average retail of the car. I suppose this is only fair. SO, here we have a fantastic car with low mileage, super tight, super strong engine, no rust and NO ‘fender bender’ accidents of any kind that will be sold at a very fair price. This is a very fast car and it gets fast very quickly. I would not recommend this car for a young person's first car. Whoever buys this car will love it. See photo with the arrow pointing to the spot. Sorry I forgot to mention it. Top is in great shape otherwise. On Jun-13-11 at 06:36:34 PDT, seller added the following information: $500 Paypal down payment must be made within 48 hours of end of auction. Full payment must be made within 10 days of end of auction. Car must be removed from premises within 14 days after end of auction, unless mutually agreed upon extension. Payment and coordination of shipping is fully the responsibility of the purchaser. Any deviation from these rules and the car will stay in my ownership. On Jun-13-11 at 09:20:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I failed to mention this car is equiped with the Leather Z center armrest,, about a $275 upgrade. Very nice and comfortable for the long trips.
