This is a 1969 Chevelle Malibu. I had a brand new VORTECPRO 505 installed in 2009 along with a Maddog TH-400 transmission. Both have around 1400 miles on them. The engine dynoed at the shop at 674 and change. Then trans is rated at 900 hp and has no problem handling the engine. This car has NEVER been to the track and never driven over 6000 rpm. I have also added the following: New front bucket seats Fresh built 12 bolt posi with 3.08 gear and 400lb springs (40 miles on build) new rear disc brakes, has front disc as well All brand new tie rod ends idler arm, bushings ect. Tubular upper and lower front A arms Tubular upper and lower rear arms After market front and rear sway bars Hotchkis front and rear BB springs All new shocks Brand new 4 core aluminum radiator (motor runs around 170 ALL the time) Holley 850 double pumper brand new carpet new B &M shifter New 3" Magnaflow stainless exhaust New hooker headers msd 6al system with MSD distributor, wires and coil Needs: Interior redone less the carpet and front seats. Have the rear seat for the car but needs to be rehupolstered Paint is OK but would need redone to be a show car needs minor body work around the rear quarters and possibly floors, but not bad This car is FAST. It would just need a few things to get this to the track running 12s, and you can DRIVE this car to the track. It is completely streetable ,and cruises on the highway. All n all I spent around 25,000 but I know that I wont get that, so it is priced accordingly. The motor and trans alone were 9000. And anyone who knows Mark Jones of VORTECPRO, he KNOWS how to build an engine. It is by far the most powerful and streetable BB I have ever owned!
