Here is a 1987 Cabrio,I have owned this car since May of 2008,I have put on about 300 miles on it,I am selling due to losing its long term storage for winter.I had paint from moldings down done when purchased,no patches or rot work has ever been done,all top paint is original.Car has no rot never did.Had retired VW mechanic go thru mechanics 2 years ago,injection system was repaired,temp sensor,tune up,wires etc,all belts.I did charge A/C this year only lasted 2 days,just replaced pass side CV axle and tie rods.Will be aligned this week.Car runs & drives very nice,I wouldnt recommend driving it across the country I would have it shipped.Engine runs good,vibrates at idle,motor mount are collapsed from age,oil light flickers when you first come off highway if car is hot,trans shifts fine.Body is straight,floors are excellent,top is old but no rips or damage.Interior is good to excellent and complete,leather is cracked from age,have missing pieces for drivers door panel in bag and rear view mirror.Please remember you are buying a 24yr vehicle not a show car.If you are not familiar with old cars or VWs maybe this isnt for you.This is not a low cost gas saver that your going to commute to work 100 miles a day and expect to give you no problems,this car has been in storage for last 3 years and only 2-3 weekends a year.Please bid to own not to look at.Call my cell w/any questions i dont answer my emails.On Jun-06-11 at 05:34:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Please call my cell with any questions 774 930 4631,I dont answer emails daily.
