This was the car to own in 56 and it still has not changed in 55 years. Mercy hospital in Nampa, Idaho used to be in charge of the community sale. Every year a person from the hospital would procure a car for the event. After the car arrived in town all of the businesses would take part in a full restoration. The story is this car was obtained in Canada from the original owners family. The body was in pristine condition showing very little rust and everything was original. Some of the insurance documents from canada are included with the sale. The car was then treated to a frame off restoration. Everything was polished, replated, replaced. The numbers matching engine was rebuilt by the local NAPA store. The transmission was also done by a local transmission shop. All new glass and seals everything on this car was touched! The current owner won the car in the raffle in 1999. Since that time the car has spent most of the last 12 years covered up in his garage only driving the car 800 miles since the raffle. Style 56-1037D = Belair sport coupe Body # 0 48 Trim# 584 19 paint 7100 = India Ivory/Twilight turquoise According to my research the car was one of the first off the line from the Oakland, Ca plant number 401. The car was originally restored with the original bias ply tire. The current owner upgraded to radials. The original rims will be included with the car as well as all of the books, owners manuals and any other papers he may have. The paint looks great showing little ware. The body is rot free and straight as an arrow. The chrome and stainless are pristine. This car was restored to look like it did when it came off the assembly line in 1956 it looks great! 1956 Chevrolet belair

Were do I start with this beautiful car! This was the car to own in 56 and it still has not changed in 55 years.

Mercy hospital in Nampa, Idaho used to be in charge of the community sale. Every year a person from the hospital would procure a car for the event. After the car arrived in town all of the businesses would take part in a full restoration.

The story is this car was obtained in Canada from the original owners family. The body was in pristine condition showing very little rust and everything was original. Some of the insurance documents from canada are included with the sale. The car was then treated to a frame off restoration. Everything was polished, replated, replaced. The numbers matching engine was rebuilt by the local NAPA store. The transmission was also done by a local transmission shop. All new glass and seals everything on this car was touched! The current owner won the car in the raffle in 1999. Since that time the car has spent most of the last 12 years covered up in his garage only driving the car 800 miles since the raffle.

According to my research the car was one of the first off the line from the Oakland, Ca plant number 401.

The car was originally restored with the original bias ply tire. The current owner upgraded to radials. The original rims will be included with the car as well as all of the books, owners manuals and any other papers he may have.

The paint looks great showing little ware. The body is rot free and straight as an arrow. The chrome and stainless are pristine. This car was restored to look like it did when it came off the assembly line in 1956 it looks great!
