Welcome to my auction. Offered here is a future japaneese collectible. The Z cars seemed to start rising in value recently. I felt like buying up a few cool imports as I think it will be a craze pretty soon like the American Muscle cars have been for a long time. My plan was to fix this one up a bit. I have seen some real slick low mile ones bring like 9 - 12000 dollars. This car looks very good. It has a few things it needs that I will tell you about shortly. You forget this car is 26 years old. Guess what? It qualified for the Texas Antique tag program and is able to put the cheap collector car insurance on if you keep it garaged and it is not your primary transportation. My friends were ribbing me " an antique Toyota" I feel the styling of this model is very nice. The overall shape and lines are sweet! The hood has a nice center buldge similar to a 69 Camaro with the Cowl Hood. My car runs very well. It shifts nice. The power windows, cruise and sunroof work great. The gauges lights & such work properly as well. This is a good car as I said it just needs a little tlc to be brought up a notch. The timing belt has been changed 3 years ago but only 2000 miles or so on since. I also have an extra one that goes with the car. Included are original owner's manual and dealer brochure. It has a k & n air filter and I have the original air cleaner also included. Notice under the hood the kinda brown stuff on the engine bay is the original Cosmaline that was put on at the factory to protect while in shipment overseas. I used to work in a BMW parts department and many of the parts would have that on it for added protection from the elements. It can be removed as with you finger nail you can scrape it off. I know it is ugly but I also think it shows originality. The stereo has been upgraded to a more modern cd player and again I have the original radio in the aftermarket box. The over all interior is nice showing minimum signs of wear. NEGATIVE ISSUES I HAVE FOUND: Unfortuneately it needs the ac compressor so the factory ac is not working at this time. It has a couple of rips in the center console (see photo) 1 Toyota center cap is missing. I bought one on ebay but it was not the correct application. The tires are needing to replaced soon. I drove it 100 miles here and it did fine but they really should be replaced with new ones in my opinion. And the car deserves to look excellent again. There is a little growling noise in the rear end area. The guy I bought it from had the rear end rebuilt and said it has made that noise for the past 4 years he has owned it. I knew he loved this car as he had a new truck parked outside and this 85 parked in the garage. I felt like hey this is a good old car. The only rust issue I found is behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. The guy I got it from said the mud flap was missing on that side and it must have been that way for a long time and just rotted this one small area.
