Vehicle Detail
This is one of the123 series wagons Mercedes built . It was made in July of 1981 and originally sold in September of the same year at Baslow Hentschel Motors in FT. Pierce Florida . This car was bought new by my grandmother inlaw . It has always been garaged and pampered and it shows . This wagon was finished in Mercedes Benz "Blue " with Navy Blue color interior . The body is in amazing condition without any rust .The paint is also still very shiny and it seems to be the original paint on every panel . The interior is also super clean . The seats show signs of discolor from use but are still in great shape. The wood panels are still beautiful and without the usual discolorations or cracks . The dash has some cracks. "see pics." The door panels and carpets look like they are only a couple of years old and not 26 . Back then , cars were really built to last a lifetime and not just until the next years model comes along . This car has been with its original owner untill 4 months ago when i recieved it. This car has been well taking care of! It was owned by my grandmother inlaw who is 82. She lost her license with her ability to see. Thats how the dents on the passenger side happened when she was leaving her hair dresser . The passenger side windows do not operate, i believe a vacuum hose has come loose possibly. All the little things which usually need extra attention on these cars have always been taken care of right away . That is why , all the gauges are working fine , the cruise control , power windows and door-locks all work the way they should . Even the original Becker radio works great , with the power antenna going up and down .The Cyclone Touring tires have less than 500 miles on them.. There are no strange rattles or noises of any kind . It is not often , that you see the 123 series station wagons in such clean condition . This car has only 179k miles although the odometer stopped working about 6 months ago and i have driven it 300 miles. It has been maintained properly and drives accordingly . You often see these kind of cars with 400k -500k miles here on Ebay and still driving well . Whoever gets this wagon , should not be disappointed . If you have any questions , need some more pictures , have it checked out or would like to schedule a test drive , feel free to send me a note . I will respond quickly . I would also help with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up . This is a wonderful 30 year old car and it will be sold without a warranty " as is " and " where is " . Please do all your "due diligence" BEFORE placing a bid . Thank you for looking at my listing and good luck to you .On Jun-05-11 at 09:14:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had alot of questions about the AC working in the Mercedes. It is not blowing cold. It should only need a charge but i am not a mechanic. If you have any more questions please ask before the auction ends.
