Vehicle Detail
The car has 2144 miles on it since restoration (from 2003 - 2009) LOW RESERVE!! This restoration was followed by the building of a Shelby Cobra which now has only 1122 miles on it. Except for the very good work done by Apple Hydraulics all the work was done by a retired army engineer in his shop. Original Car Manual Included B18B Type 2 Engine is stock not modified 4 Cylinder 1.78 Liters displacement; 108 horsepower Complete tear down & rebuild New Fuel Pump New Main Bearings New Piston Rings Valves ground in head New Flywheel New Clutch New Driveshaft mid-line bearing New Brakes New Power Brake Assist Cylinder New Master Cylinder New Coil Rear end overhauled and shimmed Twin Su-HS6 Carburators - sent to Apple Hydraulics in New York for rebuild and overhaul as a pair Transmission: M-41 4 Speed with overdrive Alll Upholstery new All Carpet new, including trunk Dashboard new New Windshield All other glass in excellent condition I'm very nit-picky about paint jobs. Whilst the paint application itself was excellent, some of the preparation wasn't up to my high standard. Most people think the paintwork looks gorgeous. But it is shiney, there is absolutely no Rust, and it presents very well. Pre-inspections are both welcomed and Encouraged! Electronic ignition added Fitted Cloth Car Cover Original clock installed, but not shown. All 4 new tires Spare tire included along with Jack and Lug Wrench New JVC Radio/CD Player that ports directly to IPOD with speaker boxes on rear package tray Original Motorola Radio included! Has most of the ORIGINAL air-conditioning unit and mechanicals....but it's not installed! Manuals and detailed files on the restoration, schematics etc. Over $12,000 already invested in the vehicle (not including labour) Since photos taken, antenna has been replaced with new 'period' telescopic metal. And also, brightwork around windshield has been fitted. (as seen in photo #1) This has been a TEXAS car all it's life. And an original RED. I'm loosing my garage soon, and will put her into storage if need be. But this is heartbreaking, and she deserves to be loved and garaged properly. Of course, no implied warranty from us the vendor after transaction occurs. Car is on antique plates (current), and has current inspection tags!! On May-30-11 at 14:55:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Whilst presented very well, it must be realized that this is not a perfect 'concourse' vehicle. Bidders are encouraged to inspect vehicle prior to purchase, professionally or otherwise. On Jun-01-11 at 02:09:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Auction is within earshot of Reserve! On Jun-05-11 at 05:07:37 PDT, seller added the following information: After taking the vehicle in to get some work done, somehow there has emerged a 1.5 inch scratch on the drivers door. I will have this door professionally repainted for the winning bidder prior to collection. (and any current and future bidders should take note of this) Also, whilst the original clock is present - it (like almost all) is not working. This can be fixed for around $100 - i just never got around to it because the radio has a clock displayed. Also the central gauge for oil/water temp is not operating. A supplemental oil temp gauge is being used for now. This can be repaired for around $200.
