1998 Cadillac Deville "Special Edition" I am listing this car for a close friend. He is selling the car, which belongs to his 91 year (young) mother. They have decided that it is time for her to turn in her drivers license. (Isn't that amazing!) I have personally inspected the car and can attest that this truly is an exceptionally excellent condition vehicle. She is the original owner. It is a North Carolina car and has no rust issues whatsoever! She purchased it "new" from Arnold Palmer Cadillac in Charlotte, North Carolina. It has just under 72000 original miles and has just recently been serviced, and has always been maintained and serviced by the dealership. (Documentation included) It recently had new Michelin tires and a new battery installed. Take a close look at the pictures and you will see that this car is in excellent condition. The exterior paint is excellent with very few (if any) scratches or dings. The leather interior is also in excellent like new condition and has no signs of wear, (even on the drivers seat)! This is the "Special Edition" version which was indeed limited. The special edition features are listed in the description as well as on the "original" window sticker, which is pictured. As I stated earlier this car is in excellent overall condition. The only things that we could find wrong with the car were four (4) minor issues that are listed below. 1. The dashboard speaker grill appears to have raised slightly in one corner. See photo. 2. Some black paint on the trim around the sunroof is peeling. See photo. 3. She put an American Flag sticker on the trunk lid paint. It may or may not remove okay with a straight edge razor. See photo. 4. The plastic coating on the left rear fender moulding is lifting/separating for approx. 6 inches. See photo. Again, take a look at the pictures. I want to be sure that I fully describe the vehicle as best as possible and have tried to do so, including the faults as well. There is very little that this vehicle needs other that driving! The owner spoke to a representative from Arnold Palmer Motors (where the vehicle was purchased) today, and he explained that the car was indeed a Cadillac Deville "Special Edition". The manufacturer had basically taken the DeElegance and "upgraded the model" with a special package, including select materials, such as the interior leather, which is a higher than standard grade of leather and other such amenities. He stated that they were indeed rareas a limited number of them were made and that they were limited to two (2) of them at their dealership. Hope this helps explain the Special Edition question.
