This is a great condition 1978 Mercedes 300D Diesel sedan. All 4 windows work and Ice cold air conditioning. The tires are almost brand new. This is the smoothest running 300D I have ever driven and I have owned several over the years. Starts first time every time and has no blow by. Great oil pressure. All 4 gears of the automatic transmission shift as they should. Not perfect or a show car by any means but really nice for a 1978 and mechanically excellent. I drive this car every day and average almost 30 miles per gallon. It has a few dings here and there but no dents and very little rust. It is a Georgia car and for the most part we do not salt our roads in the winter so the undercarriage is nice. The odometer works on and off so it has a few more miles than showing but not many. The speedometer and all other gages work properly so I never bothered to change it. No leaks or squeeks and does not use oil. Great candidate for alternate fuels such as Biodiesel or vegetable oil but I have only ran Diesel in it. If you are looking for dependable Mercedes diesel transportation this is it and as I mentioned ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING! You can drive this car across the US and back right now. If you are an out of town bidder I will be happy to pick you up at the Atlanta airport and you can drive it home. The seats and wood are pretty nice and the dash is not bad but has a few cracks. The inside looks as good as the outside.On Jun-01-11 at 16:52:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I finally got the interior and motor shots up. Also if you look at the last 2 pictures you will see the rust at the bottom of the drivers fender. This and another place on the quarter panel are the only rust I could find. It is odd that there is no rust on the undercarriage or in the usual places on the front valence but you have this on the bottom of one fender. I thought about fixing it once but the thought passed. Like I said it is my daily driver and has always served me well.
