1969 Mustang Mach1 428 4spd S-Code Red/Red orginal1 repaint of original color over a super clean NO Rust body. No rust I can find in the floors, rockers, wheel wells etc. this car has not damage hx. was purchased by friend from original owner about 5 years ago. All interior is in original condition. originally a drag car and cared for very wellInterior: above average and clean. seats set very well, console is in excellent shape. there is a plaque, small, on the woodgrain on the center console that can be removed. Rim Blow wheel has NO cracks and works as it should.Tach in dash, speedometer fuel work as should. there are separate oil/temp/volt that work properly. original owner put the gauge in the clock bezel, I have a good replacement bezel that comes w car and you can reroute those gauges or eliminate. carper is very good, headliner is perfect. Body: this is super clean body, no filler, the underside is not show finished but is NOT undercoated, nothing hid and I see nothing. come and see, been doing mustangs for>15 years and this is probably the best original body I have seen. This car could be detailed and show ready in few hours. Posi rear, very solid suspension The owner states the car was a 427 dealer installed car as new and used as drag car, everything looks like this. the 427 was removed w a knock about 6 mos ago and this 428 was completely rebuilt, .030over w all machine work, etc etc etc. at machine shop in Portsmouth VA. the heads were rebuilt and the same dual quad setup was transposed and runs this motor to perfection. New water pump and fuel pump etc. Hole was put in original rad falling in shop so was replaced w an aluminum. 150miles on the breakin so far, so easy does it till 500miles hit. throw you back horsepower. C on back of block, this is a 428 cj motor but date code is right on for this car and with the right valve covers ......you could down play as a 390 RED on RED CAR is pretty rare, big block 4 spd, blast to drive and great investmentowner wants to buy a 34 streetrod that has come up for sale and the wife is forcing sale of one to get the other. If you want the 427 that came w car I can put you in contact w the owner to purchase separately but will need rebuild. I am unsure how to clarify the story but the block dates etc all make sense.
