Vehicle Detail
For sale is the 1970 K0 (K-zero) version of the Honda CB750 Four plus a parts-lot of rare additional early sand-cast CB750 K0 model parts. Please refer to the description below for detailed information on all the rare sand-cast parts coming with this bike To the bike itself, it is the die-cast version of the K0 model CB750, showing around 18.500 original miles on the odometer. The bike had a previous owner who owned it for over 25 years and as far as I know one owner before that. It is superbly original with the exception of the kill-switch knob (red on the bike) which has been replaced at sometime in the past for the lost black one that would be original on a K0 The other exception is the color of the bike, it was repainted very nicely by the previous owner to a gloss-black paint-scheme with Honda Decals. The previous owner prefered this over the candy-colors. I personally liked it as well which was one of the reasons why I bought the bike During it's lifetime the bike had the original seat recovered once. It has never been restored, never been taken apart nor has it been abused in any way. The engine is the original engine and has been serviced regularly. If you want the Vin# and Engine# please send me an e-mail. Both numbers are correct and are within the normal range for being original to this specific motorcycle The bike has the smooth surface airbox as is correct on a 1969/1970 CB750 K0. It starts up, runs, rides and idles like a much newer motorcycle, not like one over 40 years old. It is in superb mechanical and cosmetic condition for being 41 years old and unrestored A short note on the history of the rare sandcast parts inventory coming with this bike: The previous owner also owned an early 1969 Sandcast CB750 K0 bike build in mid-1969. That 1969 bike gave up its life by having an output shaft bearing failure which destroyed the engine in the mid 70-ies, as he told me. Supposedly this happend on occasion with the very early sandcast bikes Since there was no warranty left on the bike, he parted it out and kept all the rare bits and pieces in his attic. The exhaust was hanging there on the rafters until he decided to mount it to this 1970 bike decades later. That also explains this exhaust's excellent condition after more than 40 years of proper storage and very little use The parts, which are all included in this auction with this CB750, are as follows: The original wrinkle, 4 dimple, sandcast fuel tank with original gascap, the side-covers with emblems, the head-light shell as well as the excellent condition early sand-cast 4 into 4, no-stamp exhaust complete with all 4 original roots-type baffles. Please see the detailed pictures posted that show this rare exhaust's exceptional over-all condition as well as the design of one of the baffles, as taken out of the exhaust-pipe. Note the hand-made nature of the baffles and their very different design when compared to the later CB750 exhaust system's baffles, which were mass-produced I was told by a Sandcast Collector that this exhaust has different measurements internally and hence the newer baffles will not fit this rare early sandcast exhaust and vice versa. So it seems to be a very rare exhaust set and one no longer available anywhere Additionally there is also a brand-new, still in the box, HM300 exhaust set with heat-shields and mounting hardware from Honda included in this auction. I had intended to mount this new HM300 exhaust and take the early sandcast exhaust off the bike to sell seperately, but I just don't have the time to do so and hence the bike and all parts are offered for sale here in one auction These rare sand-cast parts are quite valuable to the right enthusiast and should this bike with all these parts not make its reasonable reserve in this auction I will offer these parts as well as the bike for sale seperately here on EBay at a later date again. For now I'll try to find a collector who is interested in the entire lot of bike and parts together. Here again is a list of what comes with this motorcycle in this specific auction: 1). 1970 CB750 K0 as pictured 2). Brand-new HM300 exhaust set from Honda for this motorcycle 3). Set of new heat-shields for brand-new HM300 exhaust 4). 4 dimple, wrinkle fuel tank in primer for sand-cast CB750 K0 5). Set of original side-covers with emblems for CB750 K0 6). Head-light shell for CB750 K0 7). Early, excellent condition K0 sandcast exhaust with original baffles as mounted on bike If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail to chmanakai@gmail.com Just for absolute transparencies sake: All bikes I am offering for sale are used motorcycles, they are not new and are not represented here as such. They do have signs of age and a certain patina that bikes will aquire once reaching an older age but none of these bikes are restored. Please only bid on these bikes if this is what you are looking for and if you are able to go through with a purchase at the end of the auction This motorcycle as well as the other bikes I have currently posted here on EBay for sale are the last of my small collection of vintage, japanese bikes from the 70-ies and 80-ies Lack of time plus continued monthly expenses for storing them properly as well as the current economic climate have made me realize that owning thise bikes without being able to enjoy them is not really as interesting as it seemed in previous years. All bikes offered for sale/auction carry a reasonable reserve as well as a fair buy-it-now price, considering their condition and mileage. The reserve is set considerably below the buy-it-now price. As with all EBay auctions with reserve-price and buy-it-now option, once the reserve price is reached, the buy-it-now option will disappear. So if you want to secure one of these bikes for your collection please bear this in mind All bikes are also advertised locally and I reserve the right to remove them from EBay at any time as long as the reserve price has not been reached. Once the reserve price is reached all bikes offered will stay on EBay until the last offer is received at the end by the winning bidder. I am open to fair package-deal offers so please send me an e-mail if you are seriously interested in more than one of these motorcycles. All bikes are located in San Jose, California. I can help with making arrangements for local transport to Oakland harbor and can help with getting reasonable shipping quotes for shipment worldwide to any location from my shipping agent. All bikes have clean, valid California Titles and are either registered non-operational with the Department of Motorvehicles in California or are currently registered Payment is due within 7 business-days of auction close, either by wire-transfer or in cash on location. I expect a $500 deposit within 24 hours via paypal. All bikes are sold as-is-where-is without any warranty. I can not offer layaway, these bikes have to be picked up within 14 calendar days of payment reveived. This is a private listing. Thank You Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
