For sale is the rare, metallic blue version of the 1987 Model of the Honda CBR1000 F Hurricane. This is the first year for Hurricane with 1000 cc and the only year it was sold in this, now very rare, baby-blue metallic/dark-blue metallic paint scheme. In the 1987-tune the engine produces 130 h.p. Those of you who have owned and ridden this bike back in 1987 know how fast it was and how much fun it was to ride such a large bike through mountainous terrain without the wobble so common on bikes of this size in previous years. After riding for 35 years or more this still is and always has been one of my favorite motorcycles to ride. This Hurricane has been ridden only 12400 original miles from when it was new in 1987. It was always stored properly and has been ridden only in nice weather. It starts up, runs and idles like a motorcycle with this mileage should. It is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It comes with the after-market Super-trap mufflers mounted, as well as with the original set of black-chromed factory mufflers which were stock on the 1987 model. The original black plastic fuel-lever knob normally mounted to the pet-cock has been removed and stored seperately since these often were lost from vibrating loose and falling off while riding.
