Vehicle Detail
Chevrolet Nova Convertible This is a project car that I purchased in 1993 and have stored ever since. The car is complete except for the convertible latches for the top. The usual rust spots on this car are the floor pan, spots on the fenders and hood, I have tried to show these in the photographs. The prior owner began to replace the floor pan sections and got as far as cutting out the sections and fabricating only the passenger side section. The front bucket seats have complete frames but no upholstery. The back seat is intact but also rusted. Please call me at 619-559-0374 and I will be glad to answer any of your questions. The engine is the original 6 cylinder but the rear end has 5 bolt lugs on the rims, the originals were 4 bolt so the differential must have been changed. I am opening the bids at the price I paid in 1993 and will be no reserve. My California Title says 63 Chevrolet but the VIN starts with a 2 indicating a 62, maybe 1963 was the year it was first registered. Thanks Denny Note I have added pictures of rust spots that were not included in the original pictures. On May-20-11 at 19:33:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I own two Nova’s both in my name not the previous owners. When I talked to the DMV I stated I wanted to have them registered currently. The DMV official stated one of the Nova’s was No-op and the other was unregistered. The DMV also recommended to me that I not register either of the Novas sense the new owner would be better off to just transfer ownership and wait to register the car when it was ready to put on the road because it makes no since to pay fee’s now before the car is ready to drive. When I sell this car I will sign the pink slip to the new owner and file “Release of Liability” document with the DMV. Also note the car has only the front plate and it matches the plate on my title. So I have no idea when it was last registered. The title says I paid $49 in 1993 to transfer ownership. Back in 1993 registration was about $10 per year on a car from the 60’s, so if you register the car in California you may have some back fee’s to pay but you will not have a problem with the title since the title is clean and it is not a Salvage Title. Also note that the car can be moved legally if it is on a trailer, you can not just tow the car with a tow hitch since if the tires are on the road it must be registered. Thanks for looking and bidding if you have and other questions please call me at 619-559-0374. Denny
