This is a 1968 Mercedes Benz 250SE body with a 230S engine and transmission. The engine change was done in the early 90s and the car was driven that way until 2000, when my late Grandfather could no longer drive. It sat in the garage from 2000 until 2010. It runs and drives but does have some dents, dings and leaks that will leave drips in your garage if you don't put down a mat. It leaks some oil from the filter housing, I have it snug, but not real tight as I don't like to crank down on old parts. It leaks a little from the transmission and some from the rear dif. The leaks are from the car sitting for 10 years in my late grandfathers garage and the seals drying out. It has new weber carbs ($900 from www.redlineweber.com), cleaned up intake and exhaust manifolds ($300), new rear brake calipers, pads and lines ($300) and new fuel filters. I have had the car for a year and a half and it is time for it to move on. I did not want it to rot away somewhere so I put some money into it to get it running/driveable and then put more money into it to get it to stop. ;-) So here we are, ready for the next owner to enjoy. I have put 30 miles on it since I have owned it. Clear WI title in my name with no liens. I do have the car for sale locally and if someone shows up with cash I will sell it, unless the Reserve has been met or the Buy It Now feature is used, then I will honor that deal. In my pictures I try to show the state of the car with some dents and nicks, not just the pretty stuff. The car comes with the original wheels with Khumo tires and spare only (not the 16” aftermarkets in one picture). I can assist a buyer with shipping at their expense, but I will not ship out of the country or deal with any scams. I do have a paypal account and require deposit within 24 hours and full payment within 7 days of the end of the auction, unless we have made other arrangements in writing.
