Sold new in August 1979 at The Grossman Motor Car Corp of New York, this SC has seen very little change over the years. Apart from the obvious radio upgrade, the car remains completely stock - still set at it's factory "US Spec" ride height. It has traveled only 57,000 miles over the past 31 years and has been garaged it's entire life. Purchased as an occasional weekend and good weather cruiser and never exposed to bad weather driving, it has managed to avoid all of the pitfalls that most cars of this vintage could not. Finished in beautiful Black Metallic (Porsche paint code 708) with red leather interior, this targa presents a striking appearance and is primed and ready for fair weather fun. Car comes with original owner's manual as well as the maintenance book, original Blaupunkt information, complete tool kit, tire inflator and factory steering wheel - there is also the original dealer's invoice showing the purchase price of $30,005.00 - also in it's "Owner's Companion" dealer pouch. Interior is extremely nice and the targa top is in perfect condition, Fuchs wheels are all straight and true (and unmarked) and the little targa drives like it did when new. There are surely not many left of this vintage in this un-altered condition and this is an opportunity to own one of the truly better examples available. Being over 30 years since it's production, it would be a perfect candidate for importing overseas and I will be happy to help with this process should the buyer desire.
