1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 One Owner 65,000 Actual Miles Hi you are bidding on a true one owner 1979 Mercury Cougar XR7. 65,000 actual miles! All original manuals and paperwork! This car has very little surface rust skirting the bottom. Not rusted through. No bondo anywhere! All of the door jams are clean. The doors all shut tight. The cars shows its original paint. Its not pea green or brown, its a nice navy blue. There are a few grocery dings, can be expected. The interior is in mint condition. Perfect condition, in fact. There are no cracks in the dash or rips in the seats. Everything works; high beams, low beams, windshield wipers, right and left turn signals, AM radio, dome light, heat and AC. The AC system engages, however needs a charge. The 302 V8 runs excellent! The motor is clean and original. It does not drop any fluids anywhere. The transmission shifts flawlessly. It rides very nice at all speeds down the road. No shakes or wandering. The front end is as tight as can be. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle from the West Coast to the East Coast and back.
