Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevy Chevelle Malibu~4 Door Due to financial hardships, I am forced to sell a special part of my family's history...at a very low reserve. Gramps bought this car new back in 1971 and it remained with him until 1983, when I inherited it. I know the car's complete history from the very first day it became part of the family. The car was always kept inside, when not being driven and was never taken out in bad weather. The miles were babied and intentionally kept low...the car's actual mileage is 81,181. The car is 100% original from the factory, right down to the belts and hoses. Included in the auction are the original hubcaps. The floors and trunk are rust free and solid. The body is in very good condition with the exception of some minor rust behind the rear wheel wells. The rust will be an easy fix as it hasn't become overly extensive. There are a couple of minor dents on the right side of the roof that will also be easy to repair. All of the glass is good except for the windshield, which was cracked by rock thrown by a passing car. The engine is complete and was running good the last time I drove it 6 years ago. It has never leaked or burned oil. The car hasn't been started since 2005. All the wheels turn freely, so loading will not be a problem. Even though this isn't a two door, it is still a Chevelle and if you are a guy like me, who has SS taste on a skate board budget, you'll still appreciate a 4 door. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have...as I said, I know the history of this car. I am in no hurry for the winning bidder to pick the car up, I have loads of room around here to store it until you are able to take it home. The last thing I will do is pressure anyone to hurry up and get it out of here. I would like a $200.00 deposit, sent via paypal, within 3 days of the auction end. I am happy to accept a U.S. Postal Service money order or Bank cashiers check for an optional method of payment for the remainder of the balance. Pick up or shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will gladly help you (or your shipper of choice) load the car. Good Luck!
