You are bidding on a 2001 Saab 9-5 2.3L Wagon. This engine has a blown piston ring - i don't have the shop space or money to put in a replacement engine, so i'm putting it up for auction. It has a new turbo and the most recently updated PCV system (I think Saab is on #6). It will start and drive, and could be easliy driven onto a trailer. I would not drive it more than a few miles under its own power, however, and recommend towing or trailoring to whoever buys it. Not much coking of oil or sludge in the engine. The cylinder could probably be bored out and the piston replaced - again, I don't have the means to experiment. Interior is in good condition - worn leather on the driver's seat, a paint spill on the carpet of the trunk area, and some split plastic on the driver's side door handle. Otherwise it looks great. Everything works in this car, and my mechanic noted the transmission was still in good condition. It is missing a piece of trim on the passenger side and has a banged up front air dam (see pics). The engine bay is pretty clean and i replaced a lot of hoses (the expensive steel ones) that lead to and from the turbo unit as well as the turbo. Has a new air filter housing as well.
