Up for auction today is a absolute fine example of a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280S that was just traded in locally. This vehicle was originally bought in California and remained there until the early 80's. The second owner then transported it to Ohio where it's been parked in a comfy heated garage for the past 30 years. It's never seen snow and has only flirted with a few rainy days. Professionally maintained by the previous owner and it shows by the many local car show ribbons it has accumulated. Everything about this vehicle is completly original ... all the way down to the wheels, wood trim, and classic Mercedes rear window shades. The interior shows very minimal wear and all panels fit and finish remain perfect. Exterior paint is in excellent condition and shows great aged patina .... just like classic Mercedes owners prefer. Oil change was just completed along with a overall mechanical inspection and it passed with flying colors. The tires are only a few years old and the original spare remains in it's factory mounting area in the trunk. Now to the deficiencies .... just 2 to note, the factory Air Conditioning has been disconnected but all parts come with the car. And the second issue ....
