For sale I have a 2006 VW New Beetle TDI , Diesel with only 83,500 miles , 6 Speed auto transmission ( 7 year, 100K miles warranty by VW ) , car is loaded with options . I bought this car from my company , it was a leased car from GE and used as a company car for the sales department . The car original color was silver but painted white for our company colors ( the title will state "white" as a color ) , I was told that the oil pan hit something and the oil came out , the oil warning light came on and the driver stopped the car on the road shoulder . The car was towed and a new pan and oil installed , but it makes a tick or knock noise from the lower part of the engine. My mechanic said it will probably need rod and crank bearings . He quoted me 1,200 to fix it , but i bought another gas Beetle from my company so this one has to go .The car starts well, runs , drives and it doesn't hesitates , and it looks no major damage was done , but I am not a mechanic and I encourage buyers to inspect it before buying it , not after , . This car was always maintained by the company garage by the book and on factory recommended schedule , and I think they replaced the timing belt kit already . I had one TDI last year and it makes 44-48 MPG compared to 22 MPG my gas one makes. Easy fix for the mechanical inclined person and very scarce now that gas is over $4/ gallon . Blue book $9,900 retail , $8,000 wholesale . Sold as is , sale final . Car will have to be trailered or towed on a dolly to avoid further damage . Car has a clear title ( "clear" means that it has no liens, it is not salvage , it is not rebuilt, etc, it doesn't mean it is in my hands yet , and I applied for the it on 3/8/11 ( See Pic of receipt ) and I called NYS DMV yesterday 5/5/11 and they told me the title will be here in a week or so , I will mail the title by USPS overnight when it arrives *** If this an issue or problem for you please don't bid ***.
