NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND WITH STAINLESS LINES. ORIGINAL DASH IS PERFECT (NOT A COVER) CAR HITS THE ROAD EXTREMELLY WELL. DOESN'T DRIFT OR SUFFER FROM THE USUAL RATTLES OLDER VETTES HAVE. NO-HIT BODY. ORIGINAL FRONT END HAS HAD HEADLIGHTS GLASSED OVER AND RELOCATED UNDER THE FRONT BUMPER. THIS CAN BE CONVERTED BACK, IF SO DESIRED. WIDE-BODY FENDER FLARES ARE HIGH QUALITY WORK. THEY ARE SEEMLESS WITH NO SIGNS OF CRACKING. THESE BODY MODS WERE DONE IN THE LATE 70'S TO ACCEPT LARGER TIRES (265 REAR) AND FOR A RACIER LOOK. PAINT HAS MINOR TOUCH-UPS, FADING AND SCRATCHES. I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT I DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE EVERYTHING I HEAR. IT HAS THE CORRECT BIG BLOCK HOOD (STANDARD ON LT1) AND THE DATA PLATE BY THE SHIFTER SAYS SO. AFTER TALKING WITH SOME E-BAYERS AND CONFIRMING THIS WITH A DEALER WHO IS A FRIEND OF MINE. (HE SPECIALIZES IN VETTES SINCE 1974) IT IS A LT1. VERY, VERY RARE. ONLY 1,287 MANUFACTORED IN 1970. IiT HAS THE CORRECT FACTORY TACH FOR A LT1. IT HAS A SINGLE FUEL LINE TO THE GAS TANK INDICATING THIS CAR CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH A HOLLY CARB. THE CAR HAS NEW DUAL EXHAUST. THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT DEAL ON A RARE LT1 C3 ROADSTER. LOW, LOW RESERVE.On May-12-11 at 16:58:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I have sent the Corvette to the body shop to have it cut and buffed professionally. The trim plate reads Trim 411 Paint 979 indicating this was a Bright Bridgehaven Blue w/ blue interior from the factory. It looks great. Much, much better than it did when I took the pics for the ad Also, the car does NOT HAVE POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. My mistake, I must have been thinking of my Oldsmobile 442 clone that is going on E-bay tonight. I am sorry for any miscommunication. The car does have the factory rear stabilizer bar indicating it was an LT1. The casting numbers (3970010) indicate a Corvette 4-bolt main built between late 1969-72 (according to the internet). I was told it was a 350/350hp car when I bought it. I am getting a lot of calls about the car. IT HAS MET RESERVE AND WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. I have been offered alot more than the reserve for the car. If you are seriously interested in the car I would not wait till the end.
