THIS IS THE BEST 2001 AUDI A6 4.2 ON EBAY OR ANYWHERE ELSE. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION COSMETICALLY, AND IS SO STRONG MECHANICALLY IT IS UNREAL. A TWO-OWNER CAR SINCE NEW! I HAVE SERVICE RECORDS SHOWING NOT ONLY PROPER CARE AND MAINTENANCE, BUT THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS (!!!) IN REPAIRS AND SERVICE. A RECENT INSPECTION REPORT GAVE HER A BIG THUMBS-UP. THIS A6 4.2 NEEDS NOTHING BUT A NEW OWNER, AND LOOKS AND DRIVES TIGHT AND FAST LIKE NEW. MING BLUE OVER BLACK LEATHER, ONLY 68K ORIGINAL MILES, AND NO PROBLEMS (NONE, ZERO, ZIP). -- Here she is in all her glory -- I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER A6. AT THE BIN PRICE, THIS A6 WILL GET A FULL TIMING BELT JOB; TBELT, VBELT, TSTAT, WATER PUMP, TENSIONER/LEVER/ROLLER, OIL CHANGE, AND MORE! ALL THE BIG ITEMS ARE 110%, AND THE LITTLE ONES ARE TOO. NO DEAD SEAT HEATER ELEMENTS. NO TRANS OUTPUT SHAFT LEAK. NO HAZY HEADLIGHT LENSES. THIS A6 4.2 HAS ITS BOOKS, AUDI DEALER SERVICE HISTORY, AND WORKING REMOTE KEY. I KNOW THESE CARS WELL (I’VE HAD OVER FORTY A6, S6, AND S8'S), AND THIS ONE IS ALL THERE. Here's the deal: -- It’s a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 V8 in ming blue over black leather, with matching carpets. Only 68,xxx original miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks too! -- -- Exterior 9.5 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Great overall condition paint, body, glass, and trim. Some scuffs on the left front wheelwell lip, but detailing will lessen them, and then I will touch them up. No dents or creases. This A6 looks amazing, with a deep shine to the glossy metallic blue paint that's like looking into a mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage! -- -- Even the lower side-body moldings are in great shape. Chrome, rubber, glass, trim is all very nice. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. -- -- Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- This A6 4.2 comes with fantastic condition OEM 17" pie-plate wheels. At the BIN price, I will include a new set (99% tread remaining) of Blizzak LM22 225/45/17 winter tires. Also included at the BIN price is a set of 16” Audi multi-spoke wheels and matching Goodyear RS-A tires with 80% tread remaining. Wheels are true with no bends. Drives straight as an arrow at any speed you choose. -- -- Interior 9.95 out of 10 – Astounding shape, as in ‘like new’ condition. The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, and carpets are in amazing original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, very little wear of any kind on the leather (even the driver’s bolster shows nearly zero wear, and the back seat looks new and unused). Everything looks and feels mint.It even SMELLS new inside! -- -- The door panels and wood trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- The hatch and spare are also very nice. -- -- This A6 has the premium package, cold weather package, rear and side sunshades, and more! -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory, and power mirrors work perfectly. Headrest motors, vacuum lock system, etc. all operating properly. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and perfect with hot heat and ice-cold A/C. No dead pixels in the IC, HVAC, or radio displays. No worn out button markings. Everything looks NEW. -- --Mechanically 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet aggressive, and downshifts eagerly. This A6 4.2 runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks. Drive without worry! -- -- This car was serviced properly and regularly at the Audi dealer, and at private shops after that. And at the BIN price, even though the mileage is still very low, I will perform a MASSIVE service. This will include a complete timing belt service. That job includes the timing belt, serpentine belt, thermostat, water pump, tensioner, lever, roller, oil/filter change, and more. I’ll also install all new seals in the trans cooler lines since those tend to leak at around 75K miles. Also new valve cover gaskets, new spark plugs, new pressure sensor and ABS control module, new lifter seals, and more. Everything you do 'while you're in there' when you do the timing belt job plus other things known to fail after 10 years on the road. At least a $3500 value if you do it at any reputable shop! Once this job is done, there is NOTHING to do except drive for the next 90,000 miles! -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, but floats on a cloud just like an A6 V8 is supposed to. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. This car drives and handles like new. -- -- This A6 has all the books, working remote key, and all those warranty and service records. With only 68K miles, this A6 4.2 is not even broken in yet. Full inspection is already complete, including one by my mechanic and one by an authorized Audi dealer. All you have to do is drive. -- -- If someone selects the buy-it-now option, I will provide the following: The timing belt job/additional service mentioned above, the 17” wheels with new Blizzaks, a full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, etc. I'll also include Audi OEM all-season black floor mats, and ToughGuard paint protectant. This stuff is simply amazing for durability, as it will last up to five YEARS. Dealers charge up to $695 for this stuff. All combined, that’s well over $4500 in value FREE at the buy-it-now price! We will not release the vehicle and/or title until funds clear back to the issuing bank. If you pay cash, you can pick up the vehicle immediately. If you pay by wire transfer the vehicle will be available for pickup as soon as the wired funds are available in our account. Storage Terms: Once a vehicle has been paid for in full, we will store it free of charge for five (5) calendar days and at nineteen ($19) dollars per day after that. Liquidated Damages: In the event that the winning bidder refuses to honor his/her obligation to purchase the vehicle, we shall be entitled to liquidated damages from that bidder in the amount of two thousand dollars plus two hundred dollars per one thousand dollars of the total purchase price of the vehicle.
