1971 Honda CB

A very nice looking and running early K1 with a build date of 8/70. Most people that see this bike think it is brand new. The exhaust system is a brand new one from Honda this past winter. It is the correct "300" system that is throatier sounding than the later systems. The original single cut front fender was re-chrome plated as was the tail light bracket. The rear fender is a brand new one from Honda. The chain guard is the original plastic one. Front and rear tires and tubes are new. Seat is excellent original, and the tool kit is still under it. The bike sat for a long time and needed re-painting. The fuel tank was never rusty on the inside and was coated the inside with a clear epoxy called "Super Steel Flex" so it will never rust internally. It was re-painted the original valley green metallic. The photo's for some reason don't show the green as green as it really is in person, must be my camera or the lighting. It was re-painted by the fellow in WV that paints professionally. It turned out perfect except for a spot on top of the left hand head lamp ear (I took a close up photo so it can be seen). The painter for some reason did not finish it properly before the painting it. I was going to send it back, but was afraid it may not match after being re-painted. It has new spark plugs, and the points where cleaned and adjusted. Carburetors and the front brake caliper where also re-built. The fuel tank has a new cap, new emblems, new lower side trim, and the petcock has a new rubber gasket in it. Fuel lines where also replaced. The front fork lowers where polished when they where off to get re-sealed and new fork oil was put in. The rubber boots were also replaced. Battery is new this month. The oil and filter were just replaced with correct motorcycle oil. Drives out very nice and all of the electrics work as they should.
