Up for grabs is my wife's little hot rod. She is the second owner and has taken very good care of it. The Pacifica was only produced in '87 and '88, and only 4300 were produced in 1988. My wife only drove the car on the weekends and was otherwise garaged. The car is in completely original condition, and has California car it's whole life. Never seen rain or snow and has ZERO RUST. The engine runs perfect and very strong. New timing belt last year. Clutch was replaced about 10k miles ago. The interior is very clean and nearly perfect; no rips or cracks. Even has original floor mats which are in perfect condition. All gauges with the exception of the turbo boost gauge function properly. The speedometer works but the odometer stopped working 6,000 miles ago (I have tracked the mileage using the trip computer). All available options including power windows, locks, cruise control, trip computer, power mirrors, 6 way power seat with adjustable lumbar that is the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in, am/fm cassette stereo, and A/C. Everything works with the exception of the turbo boost gauge, but I may have that working before the auction closes. The headliner is sagging in a few spots, but is in very good condition otherwise. The body is very straight with no rust what-so-ever and only one or two very minor dings that are hardly noticible. There is one very small dent, about the size of a pack of cigarettes, right where the body molding ends at the forward part of the wheel well opening. You really have to look for it to see it. The black plastic trim under the window on the driver's door is broken at the rearward end if it (missing about a two inch long piece) The original paint is in very good condition with a couple very small chips here and there but it looks very good overall and is waxed. T-tops do not leak...in fact, there are no leaks anywhere on the car. New T-top keys are included. The windshield has a crack right across the middle, but she's never had an issue with it. $129 to replace at most glass shops. The car is very fast and a blast to drive. Gets exceptional gas mileage; about 25 MPG in the city and 30+ on the highway. Clear title and last smog results ( it passed way under the max on all tests). Registered through the end of May. These cars are becoming very rare and collectable, but it makes a very fun and economical daily driver as well! I will deliver this car without additional cost, anywhere in the continental U.S. if bids reach or exceed $3500. $1000 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction close. On Apr-26-11 at 22:12:20 PDT, seller added the following information: ****CONDITION REVISION**** I have discovered a hole about the size of a quarter in the driver side outer tail light. The hole is in the clear plastic cover toward the bottom. I did not notice this on my intitial inspection of the car, and, upon a more thorough inspection, this was the only thing I could find that I did not include in the original description. I also forgot to mention that this car has never been smoked in. I would trust this car to drive anywhere without any mechanical issues at all. The engine runs cool and dependably. Has a good battery, brakes (including parking brake), all front end parts are tight and in good condition. Turbo works perfectly. It doesn't leak, use or burn anything. All lights -interior and exterior- function properly including map lights, Over head and door lights, high/low beam, turn signals, back up lights, and license plate lamp. The complete tune up, (plugs, wires, cap rotor and ignition coil) belts, hoses & oil change are all new with less than 100 miles on them. The A/C and heat both work fine. The A/C isn't ice cold, but does function properly. Both front and rear wipers and washers function properly. It has a tilt steering wheel and even the horn works. The original AM/FM Cassette stereo (Infinity) works and sounds great but is finicky (have to push buttons a couple times, sometimes). The trip computer works but also has finicky buttons. For those interested outside the state of California, the car will be sold with valid license plates and registration, meaning that the plates go with the car. All in all, I believe this is the most original, dependable, RUST FREE, straightest and nicest condition Daytona currently for sale on Ebay. If you want a cool, straight, original condition and fun economical car you will find no disappointments here. Wife had new headlights installed at the dealer last fall and I suspected the tech had cranked the lights open to install the headlights but did not crank them back down. I finished his job by cranking them back down and they work just fine now.
