Up for sale is a rare virgin 1958 Chevrolet Brookwood 6 passenger Wagon. This car was purchased from the original 81 year old owner n Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have the original certificate of title, the original sales paperwork, owners manual and the orignal keys. He purchased the car in Owasso Michigan in December of 1957 and drove it straight back to Colorado where it spent the last 52 years. In 1969 the clutch started to slip bad enough where he could no longer drive the car and parked it with 81,000 miles showing on the clock. I purchased it last year and had it shipped back to Michigan. I removed the fuel tank and had it dipped, I then coated the tank inside and out with KBS, the best sealer on the market. I installed a new fuel sending unit and new complete fuel line as the old line was plugged solid,. It's all properly bent and installed in it's factory location with the proper flaring on the ends., I also replaced the fuel pump and rubber lines, a nice used factory original low mileage radiator, new heater hoses, water pump, and belt and installed fresh anti freeze. I changed the oil and filter and fired it up. The engine runs really nice as he said it did before he parked it in 1969. It does blow blue smoke out the tailpipe but I think it would clear up if I could drive the car around awhile, it really runs nice! It will need all the normal repairs before it is road worthy such as brakes, exhaust, new tires and of course the clutch. The fuel and water temp hauge work and I think all of the lights were still working after it's long slumber. The front wheels and tires are just temporary for mobility. I have the four original rims with the two front tires (Sears Alstates he said he bought in the mid 60s) which he said were the only replacements the car ever had along with the snow tires on the rear, there is also a spare in the trunk with all the original jack hardware and retainer spring, those items always seems to disappear. The spare tire well is very clean. The car still has 3 of the 4 original T3 headlights. Both front and rear bumpers are nice and original and the grill is perfect. It has the 235 Cu. inch 6 with a 3 speed on the column, the orignal column shifter shifts really nice and tight and feels as if there is no wear or play at all. I drove it on my preoperty and all the hears work fine. It's going to need some rust repari to both headlight area's, bottoms of front fenders passenger rear rocker area and drivers side quarter are, and to the front floors, but this car is all original and has never been modified. The dash although faded is original and untouched, no cobbled up wiring to fix and the oringal radio delete plate is still in place. The headiner is very nice as are the door panels, the front seat will need recovering.
