Vehicle Detail

Hello, First and foremost I would like to say I am selling this awesome car for my father as he is computer illiterate, haha. This is a 1969 Ford Torino GT 390V8 4 Valve "S" code HARDTOP (rare) car, VIN# 9A44S250266 w/ air conditioner (needs to be installed) w/ Matri Report. The car runs great, and sounds even better....amazing sound from the exhaust. Interior was replaced including re-doing seats, front and rear, new carpet, carpet sound deaden-er, headliner, and weather stripping. Car was painted in 2003, white with factory black GT stripe. New gas tank installed, (think it needs new gasket on gas cap). New master cylinder, new brakes front and rear, new wheel cylinders (I know one caliper for sure, possibly both), new exhaust was added 2 1/2 inch in size. Shocks were also replaced. Gauges were added for oil and water temps. Tach was added below dash as well. Engine gone thru with new bearings and gaskets. I believe it's .030 over with original style pistons, Mellings oil pump, new fuel pump, new water pump, parts cleaned and re-assembled. New Flexplate, new nose-less gear reduction starter, new converter in transmission, shift kit in transmission, misc. hoses and belts were replaced as needed. More things done between Jan 9, 2009 till April 20, 2011: Sanded and repainted lower sides of car and reinstalled the new GT stripe. Replaced core in original radiator, re-chromed and installed front bumper, rebuilt and installed original carb. Rebuilt power steering pump and reservoir. Had original GT steel wheels blasted and painted. 4 new Firestone Red line belted wide ovals (14 inch), 4 new center caps, and 4 new trim rings. New trunk mat, front end balanced and aligned, replaced bushings in LH and RH control arms. Replaced lower ball joint. Matri report verifies original 390V8-auto-Air Conditioner factory car. Car originally Green, not white. Interior is original color, HOOD TACH (EXTREMELY RARE DEALER OPTION) and rear defroster were dealer installed. Hood tach is not working / hooked up though. New hood pins and cables. Factory AC not put back on car after motor was rebuilt. Have all the parts, compression ford date D-69. Motor had 600 miles on it when my dad purchased it, now has about 850. Car came with .300 gear ratio. We believe it's now .350 or .373. I don't know how many years ago it was changed. Car reads 72,400 but has lower original miles on it than stated because the speedo registers 1.2 miles for ever 1 mile driven due to the gears being changed. In other words the car has less than 72,400 original miles. Car could use a repaint (according to my dad), although still looks great to me. Very good driving car!!! The only thing we can't verify is if the AC will properly work once it is put back on the car.....this is just being honest as we never got around to doing this part of the restoration. All in all a BAD A$$ car!!!!! Needs very few things done to it. I can say I've owned some very pricey modern day sports cars and have never had so many head turns as I did when I took this car out a few times, simply amazing!!!! I have plenty more pictures to show but eBay only allows 24 max so this is all I could put. If you need more pictures or a picture of specific areas/parts please let me know and I'd be happy to email them to you. Obviously this car is pick up only. We are also more than happy to help you in regards to picking you up at the airport, or helping you arrange plans to trailer it home. Also please excuse me if some parts of the description overlap or sound weird as I'm typing this off a couple sheets of paper that my dad and the original owner wrote down that was done to the car. If you are interested and have any questions, it would be best if you called my dad (Armand) at (804) 731-5732....we are in Colonial Height, VA. Another thing, the Matri report was misplaced during my move 2 weeks ago. You can see it in the pictures I took in the trunk of car. If this paperwork is not found by time the car is picked up I can guarantee you the paperwork will be mailed to you priority mail once it is found. It is somewhere in my storage unit in a box. Also this car is sold AS ISOn Apr-25-11 at 15:10:02 PDT, seller added the following information: As a fellow eBayer pointed out to me, I messed up in the description where I put the car was a 390V8 "4 valve".......the correct wording should be 390V8 "4V". Sorry :-/
