Up for auction is a 58 Bel Air custom convertible. This is a neat project. I believe it has the same trim as the Impala. This was a 4 door hardtop, but was customized to be a convertible. It is solid and has reinforced sides. All 4 doors open and shut perfectly with no sagging because it was made from a 4 dr hardtop. The car is pretty solid except the trunk and floor pans have some rust. Needs to be finished. No motor, no tranny. All the interior is there. The dash is all there except it doesn't have the radio. This car needs to be completely restored. It has a nice set of tires and wheels on it. I do have power CONVERTIBLE TOP BOWS, VERY GOOD CONDITION, needs to be customized to fit this car. They are off of a late model car and will need to be widened and lengthened. I had a 56 Cadillac that was a custom convertible which was originally a 4 door hardtop also and the top was done this way. It turned out really awesome. The GM 4 door hardtop cars in these years (especially because of the hourglass or X frame) were made reinforced from the factory because there is no post. If this were a real original convertible in this condition it would cost you around $20,000, so you can have a custom convertible for a lot less money and still enjoy your ride! It is not currently a lowrider, but can be customized to be one to turn heads for sure. I do not have a title to this car so bill of sale only.
