Vehicle Detail
**Here are the details on the car: Original owner still around and in great health, and actual mileage. ACADEMY GREY METALLIC EXTERIOR with BLACK SIERRA GRAIN LEATHER INTERIOR. Auto, A/C(Climate Control), P/W, P/L, P/seats(both driver and passenger 6-way 40/60-split) but NO optional passenger's side power recliner. Tilt-Telescopic, Am/Fm Stereo 8-Track works. Rear package tray, as well as vinyl top, is in great condition with no sun damage, fading, or warpage, as is the rest of the exterior paint, and the overall chrome-work all around, including the front and rear bumpers; All show extremely well still. The car was never involved in an accident, and the factory load-leveling supension, fuel injection system(cars starts immediately from cold standing on first attempt), power trunk release, and power trunk lid pull-down all work without incident and have never had any problems with them. All other accessories work great, including all four power windows(which go up and down very quick), automatic climate control a/c(blows cold), cruise, both power seats, etc., EXCEPT for digital rolling-drum clock in dash(either needs taken out and cleaned/repaired, or a simple fuse replacement). The steering wheel is excellent, still all black, with fading or major cracking(only one minor crack in bottom center of wheel), and the factory dual trumpet horn operates flawlessly. The car was special-ordered new through Casa De Cadillac in Sherman Oaks with NO VINYL TOP("vinyl top delete" shown on window sticker, in which $60 was subtracted), and then car was taken, shortly after being taken possession of at the dealership, on to Rudy's Custom Tops in L.A(In June of '76 was simply known as "Rudy's Top Shop, and was THEN located at 5776 Melrose in L.A.) to have an extra-thick padded black vinyl top installed, along with high-quality stitching along the rear window, and Cadillac-correct-for-the-era "center seam" stitching pattern, which, in '76, was $238.50 alone(Do have a photocopy of original invoice on hand for the top to prove this). The owner informed me that he deliberately ordered the car without the factory vinyl top, for it was implied, and apparently common knowledge at the time, that many Cadillac factory vinyl tops of the era were fabricated with little padding, and also, perhaps, that the factory stitching within the top was not all that good of quality. More specifically, he wanted to emulate the D'elegance package style of heavy padded top, but wanted to retain the leather interior of the Fleetwood Brougham line. Also, the owner has every single piece of documentation from new, including original window sticker, build sheet, sales order, dealer brochure, etc. **Detailed video of car in a 360 walk-around both in and out along with power trunk pull down operation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKGm6nCbblM **Detailed video of car being started, ran, and all four power windows going up and down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY3_gIf-1s8 If you have trouble with these direct Youtube video links, then please go to the Youtube home page, and type in "1976 Brougham Fuel Injected" within the search field, and you will be taken to the first video, in which from there, you can access the second, more detailed video, of the car starting, running, and power window operation. The 8-Track tape player head itself possibly needs adjustment/alignment, but an 8-track tape, when inserted, will still play, however, with some inconsistency, and the power-release solenoid, to eject the tape itself from the radio unit chamber, when not in use, is currently not working(which is the one "radio preset knob", located on the far right side of the unit, directly below the lighted "stereo" indicator). The "program change" solenoid, however, works, when actuated from the left-side volume control knob. Lastly, the right-side tuner knob internal clutch could be tightened/adjusted, for at times, it is difficult to select stations to listen to, but for the most part, the turner orange pointer/marker goes across the entire range of stations with not that much effort. The original power antenna mast is still in very presentable, straight, unbroken condition, and DOES fully extend and retract by normal means of the semi-automatic switch, located on the dash, and automatically fully retracts when the radio is turned off, or if the car turned off. The front two tires could quite possibly use a balance, for at highway speeds above 75MPH, there is a bit of vibration, but not significant enough to prevent operation of the car. Lastly, all this being said: THE CAR IS 35 YEARS OLD, IS BEING SOLD BY A PRIVATE OWNER, WITH ASSITANCE FROM A DESIGNATED PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL, AS IS, WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND ALL POSSIBLE DEFECTS OR FLAWS OF THE VEHICLE, HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED BY THE OWNER, AND MYSELF, TO THE BEST OF BOTH ABILITIES',
