Vehicle Detail
This is a super nice low mileage Mercedes Benz 300D turbodiesel. All 4 windows work and so does the power sunroof. Ice cold air conditioning. Starts first time every time even in cold weather. Excellent oil pressure and no blow by as to be expected with only 139k miles. The picture of the guages was taken with the engine warmed up and idling in drive. Look at the oil pressure! Good tires, brakes, etc etc. Even the clock works! Garage kept. Nice interior. No leaks, rattles, etc. Not a new car but really good condition for the year. Alloy wheels with an alloy spare. No rust. This has been a Georgia car all of its life. If you are reading this I assume you know how great these cars are. If you are near Canton GA come by and take it for a test drive! If you are an out of town buyer and you win the auction I will be glad to pick you up at the airport and you can drive it home. I would not be afraid to take this car on a 3000 mile trip today. Please email me or call with any questions. I will get some interior and motor shots up in a day or two. On Apr-14-11 at 08:26:19 PDT, seller added the following information: The Autocheck title report shows speedometer in excess of mechanical limits in 1992 at 104,000 which is obviously an error because these odometers go to 999,999 and the tenths reading is on the trip meter. The odometer part of the report shows no tampering with the odometer and the mileage to be correct and no other issues whatsoever. No accidents etc etc. I have owned a dozen or so of these cars over the years and this is by far the nicest one. If you check my feedback you will see that I have sold several of them on ebay and always had positive feedback and actually made a few friends with some of my fellow Mercedes diesel enthusiast buyers. This one is not a restored car so there are a few minor parking lot dings here and there but no dents. It is a super nice driver and should be good for several hundred thousand miles with only routine maintenance. On Apr-19-11 at 15:48:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Finally got a few engine and interior pictures up. I have never cleaned the engine. It is really that nice! No leaks or blow by so it isn't dirty at all. I could not get good lighting on the interior but you get the Idea. The seats are very firm with no sagging or broken springs. This car has absolutely no rust ever. I have never detailed the interior other than an occasional vaccum so it could really be even nicer. The wood has some light cracking on the console but other than that it is perfect. On Apr-22-11 at 09:20:26 PDT, seller added the following information: There are no odometer problems. Someone at the title office evidently checked the box for cars over 100k miles when the title was transferred that states the mileage is in excess of the mechanical limits of the odometer. Back then many odometers only went to 99,999 unlike the MB that goes to 999,999. It is too bad that error happened because it is the only negative item on the AutoCheck report. It is in the title section and not the odometer section of the report. If you read it fully it shows the odometer to be correct. Even if this car had another hundred thousand miles on it I would have still bought it because of the condition but all of the records and the previous owners word indicate 139K and the condition of everything backs it up. By the way the drivers seat is not ripped around the edge, that is the cloth on the door pillar turning up a little. I never noticed it until I looked at the picture of the drivers seat. I will tuck it back in and take a better picture. The drivers seat is nice (just like everything else). Once again everything on this car is tight. The steering, the suspension, the doors, the windows, etc. etc. Why pay over $3000 for one with well over 200K miles when you can get this beautiful 139K mile example for most likely not a whole lot more? NO RESERVE!!!!!!!!!! The winner drives it home!
