Vehicle Detail
1923 Ford T bucket roadster. Built like the 1970's style we grew up with. This car is virtually new. Less than 100 miles since build. Many of the parts were purchased as far back as the 1970's. Professionally built rectangular tube chassis. Chevy I beam front axle with drum brakes, mounted by radius rods, and transverse leaf spring. New king pins, wheel cylinders, brake shoes and wheel bearings.1955 ( ithink) Chevy rear axle also mounted on transverse leaf spring and radius rods.New brakes. Chrome Pete and Jakes shocks both front and rear. Corvair steering gear with Flaming River Tilt steering column.Stewart Warner gauges including speedo, tach, oil pressure, temperature, voltmeter and fuel level.JVC AM/FM with cd player and speakers mounted in seat frame.Chrome smoothie wheels with baby moons and new tires all around, P275/60R15 Uniroyal Tiger Paw on the rear and P205/75R15 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AP on the front.Look close, the front turn signals are built into the headlights for a cool touch. The engine is 1976 Chevy 350 professionally rebuilt, with 305 heads, Holley 600 carb, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Taylor wires, HEI distributor. It has finned aluminum valve covers and matching finned aluminum oil pan. A few chrome parts would include pulleys, alternator and those beautiful roadster headers. The transmission is a TH400 professionally rebuilt and a remanufactured torque converter. For those of you that have been shoppiing EBAY for awhile, you might remember this car. I bought it as a total basket case 2 years ago, right here on ebay. I took it to my shop in MO, where I cut the frame completely apart, squared it and welded it back together. All of the bracketry for the front and rear suspension went in the trash, and I made all new, the way my Dad taught me back in the 1970's, torch, vise and grinder. Same with the motor mounts, master cylinder mount, steering mount etc...This car was built with simplicity in mind, notice the taillights, bed straps, mirrors and headlight stands those parts were still wrapped in 1978 newspaper in plain cardboard boxes when I purchased the basket case. Same for the headers, and the windshield frame, (I have the top half if you would like it). I build cars professionally, so if this isnt the one you want please feel free to contact me to discuss the one you dream about.I have over $12,000 invested in this car, not including labor.
