Vehicle Detail

1971 Oldsmobile 442. This car has a Muncie 4 Speed transmission. If it is not an original transmission it has been in the car a long time. I have owned it 5 years and did not find a build sheet. W25 hood and air filter system. Heads are G 409100. Block casting number is 396021 F, Exhaust drivers side is marked W and passenger side is marked Z. Motor was rebuilt in 2008 with very few miles on it. Car is garaged kept in Atlanta with dehumidifier running 24-7. No rust, great body, floor boards dry as can be. A lot of new items. Engine - Block is correctly coded for big block 442 and had not been bored until 2008. Heads are same as on car and transmission and rear end. Posi rear end. W27 10 bolt aluminum cover added by me. Motor was built by Lamar Walden Racing and was dyno'd at 425 horsepower at rear wheels. Very powerful motor and runs excellent. Very reliable. New edelbrock carburetor, new edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. New Pistons, hydraulic lifters, new valves, cam, water pump, oil pump, pistons. Everything new on motor except block and heads. Exhaust manifolds powder coated with lifetime warranty. New MSD ignition with rev limited. New Center Force clutch. Transmission and clutch are in excellent shape. 4 core radiator. Car runs cool even in Atlanta summer heat. Original A/C in car but not hooked up. Electrical - New chrome 100 amp alternator, electrical wiring re done and works great. New tri gauges below dash and original rally pac hooked up as well. Tach and clock recently rebuilt but, high quality rebuilder with quartz clock. New Optima Red battery. All interior lights works, trunk light, all blinkers, headlights, etc. Charges above 14 amps at all times. Interior - New carpet and heat shield below carpet. Rear seat newly re-cushioned and covered. New chrome on dash, console, doors. New window cranks. Hidden stereo in glove box with ipod connection below passenger seat. Charges ipod while it plays. Remote control wireless eye is in the dash, with front kick panel speakers. Amp and sub in the trunk. Stereo runs on separate connection with its own fuse to the battery. Stereo sounds great and is not seen. Original AM Radio in the dash. New rear seat belts. Trunk has original spare, jack, etc. Trunk is dry and looks excellent. Exterior - New paint in October 2010. Hood stripes are top quality. No raised paint lines. New chrome emblems everywhere, new door handles, all new weatherstripping on doors, windows, trunk, etc. Bumpers are in great shape. New gas tank and straps. Chrome 15 inch wheels and BF Goodrich tires with very low miles. Have wheel trim pieces just didn't put back on. Like this look better but, buyer can install. Appears to be original W25 hood and working ram air cleaner (also not on the car but, have it). FlowMaster 40 series mufflers. Newly rebuilt front suspension. No rust. Floorboards look brand new and are original as far as I know. Power Steering, Power Brakes, Console, Rally pac, Stock sway bars, etc. All blinkers, lights, etc. work great. Even the dash map light, console light and glove box light work. Car runs excellent, cranks right up, is super fast but, a great cruising reliable car as well. Has been my 3rd car and only drive within a few miles of my house on weekends when I can. Have over 45k in the car. Have 3 young children and just do not drive it as much as I would like to. Car has been meticulously maintained with Valvoline VR1 racing oil and runs great. Top is in good shape but, does not go up and down by the motor. Motor turns but, the pistons are out of oil and probably need replacing. I have rarely had the top up and only to stretch it. Car is never in the rain and has been in my dehumidified garage for the last 5 years. Have original intake, air cleaner, wheel housing trim pieces, cam, distributor. Will ship those items with car. Car was originally gold and black interior. Paint is Guards Red color. Looks outstanding. Short video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAfSczG6XGs
