1978 FJ40 Landcruiser. Completely original paint, interior, and powertrain. FJ has rear ambulance style doors, hardtop, 4spd manual transmission, manual locking hubs, original radio, Yokohama Geolander tires, and original seat upholstery. Has rust on front fenders and around rear wheel wells, and one rust through on rear door. Otherwise very solid tub, and no rust through on the floors or rear cargo area. Engine is original with 98,400 miles starts and runs strong with no smoke. Recent tune up and valve adjustment. Carb has been rebuilt and a new gas tank installed. Radiator was rebuilt 3 years ago. All lights and instruments work correctly. 4wd has manual locking warn hubs and functions correctly. Exhaust system replaced 2 yrs ago. Leaf springs have new shackles and is lifted 2 inches. FJ runs and drives well. I have owned this FJ for 10 years, it has had regular maintenance. I have maintained its originality, and has been used strickly as a farm vehicle. Mechanically it is sound, but does need cosmetic restoration to the body. Front fenders should be replaced and rust spots on the qtr panels patched in. Seats are torn, and is the original upholstery. All glass is good. This would make a great project for someone with interest in these vehicles, and original restoration helps them maintain a strong resale value. Happy bidding...
