Vehicle Detail
94 Ford Taurus SHO 3.0 with 5 speed manual transmission We are listing this vehicle for a client who is not internet savvy. He has decided he needs a suv more than he needs a performance sedan, so he is offering this nice example of a SHO for sale. This vehicle has had a lot of recent maintenance - the "60k service" has been done within the past 10,000 miles including new timing belt, crankshaft and camshaft seals, valve lash, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, spark plug wires and crankshaft sensor, as well as accessory belts, battery, and oxygen sensor. Additionally, within the past 5,000 miles it has had a new clutch, and the transmission was replaced with a 100k mile unit that has excellent syncros. The a/c needs to be recharged - the owner says if it is recharged it works for a couple weeks until it goes down again, so apparently there is a seal leaking. The tires are good - the fronts are about 50% and the rears are about 20%. The brakes are good, and the struts are good. It has a clean Colorado title, and is current on emissions. This vehicle runs and drives excellent, and the transmission shifts well - as well as any SHO we have ever driven. The body is straight and clean, no rust and no signs of ever having any damage. This is a rust-free western car - there is not any paint blistering and certainly no rust anywhere to be found. Overall, the paint is good and still shiny, as you can see in the photos. There is a small dent in the right side of the roof, visible in the photo. There is a spot where the paint has peeled from the right front fender. Under that appears to be the factory e-coat - there is no sign of this ever having been repainted. There is a tear in the rear bumper on the right side, this has been glued together but is not perfectly smooth. There is clearcoat lifting on the left rear door, and on the left rear quarter panel (the door shows in the photo, but the quarter panel does not). There is a dent in the left rear door. There are a couple small spots of paint peeling from the left front fender. There are a few other small dings, scratches, and minor clearcoat issues here and there. The car has a LeBra that is in very good condition. The interior is very nice for the age. The driver's seat has only 1 smaller tear in the seat bottom, and the seat back is intact. The carpet is in decent shape, and the dash is in good condition with none of the big cracks that you often find. There is no radio in this car at this time. Overall, for a 17 year old car, this vehicle is in very good condition. It is mechanically sound and should provide many years of good service. It looks very good even including the imperfections noted above, and we have done our best to describe the vehicle accurately and fairly so that you will not be disappointed when you arrive to pick up your new wheels. This is one of the nicer SHOs that you will find, and would make a daily driver with just an audio system and a/c repair. You should have no problem driving this back home to whereever that is. Priced to move with no reserve and a low starting bid. The vehicle is sold as-is, where-is with no warranty of any kind. Buyer must make arrangements for pickup or shipping, and we will cooperate with the shipping company or pick you up at DIA if you need. Vehicle must be paid in full before it will be released for pickup. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.
