Hi, You are bidding on a 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible that I've had since 2006. I never got around to restoring it because I was always busy with other projects. Now the wife says it has to go. Let me stress that this car is a project (It does not run) and needs to be restored somewhat to make it a daily driver. The body is straight with minor dings that only came about while storing the vehicle, very minor rust on the car nothing that sanding down won't fix, (no panels or patches needed) and needs a back glass window. The drive train is where its at and features a hi-po 351 Cleveland from a 70 eliminator. It did come with the FMX tranny but someone stole it at the shop it was in before I moved it unbeknownst to me so it needs one.(prob can find a C-6 pretty reasonably) The car also needs a carb, drive shaft and other msc parts to get it to stop and start like it should which is why I'm listing it with little reserve. This car will make a great addition to someones collection once its done so don't miss out. This car is being sold in as is where is condition, no warranty expressed or implied and I reserve the right to end auction early as it is for sale locally. We can discuss getting the car in top running condition at your cost if you prefer it and I will not gouge the daylights out of your pockets like most will do.
