Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1970 Chevelle SS 396. This car is a real SS 396 car that has last been registered in 1981 from what I can tell, and that was in Georgia. It is a true "barn find" car. Odometer reads 55,000 miles. I purchased the vehicle from the person that brought it out. What you see in the pics is what I have, and is as purchased. I was going to restore the car, but just dont have the resources. The original engine and transmission are long gone. Rear end is "CCW" (3:31 ratio) and is dated March 70, and appears to be original with car. Note that the wheels that are shown here are just rollers, I have the correct wheels with the car also. The tires were so dry rotted I had to put these on. I also have the original "SS" steering wheel. A few ways as to how I know that this is an SS Car (and other notes):1. TH 400 kickdown switch is still on the pedal2. Still has the brown tach wire and TH400 leads through the firewall3. Car did not have cowl induction hood4. Car does have gauges with 5,500 redline tach5. Car has original, two piece intermediate shaft (2 pc for big block, SS cars)6. Has power disc brakes, and the small valve is still in place at the driver side rear by the tire7. Has original rear suspension, including boxed lower control arms, special driver side upper with small plate, reinforcing bars and sway bar8. Drivers door still has the original sticker on it with the matching vin number9. There are no holes in doors or quarters where malibu trim would be10. you can see the outline of a sticker from a used car dealer in Valdosta, GA Interior: The door panels appear original, and there is no build sheet. Has white vinyl that needs attention Body: the paint on the car, including the stripes, appear to be 100% original. There are some typical roof issues for a vinyl top car. Floors look good with only a tiny hole under rear seat. Frame looks good. Doors are very nice. Quarters and trunk floor would need replaced. Cowl Tag:ST70-13637A39018 BDYTR790 B80 B9075APNT 04B 306348210216 This was an Atlanta built car, originally code 75 Cranberry Red, white vinyl top, white bench seat. Build date 2nd week of April. I have not dug too deep for a build sheet, but it is not in the door panels. VIN: 136370A148xxx Car is sold as is where is and comes with no warranty. I have 100% positive feedback over 9 years, so bid with confidence. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have and I will answer to the best of my ability. If you wish to speak with me over the phone, please send me a message. Vehicle is available for viewing if you would like to see prior to your bid. Car is stored just south of Medina, OH (about 30 miles south of Cleveland, OH) FYI I am relisting this vehicle, was originally sold on ebay around Christmas. The original purchaser did not complete the transaction after this period.
