Vehicle Detail
This vehicle was posted on eBay earlier under the category "parts". It was subsequently removed by eBay for violation of a policy to avoid payment of appropriate fees. I wasn't sure how to accurately list this vehicle but that decision has been made. I had no idea that I was avoiding fees or that I was violating policy and apologize for any inconvenience. I am reposting this vehicle (appropriately) since a number of eBayers viewed and were watching this listing. I have no idea of the actual mileage of this vehicle, but entered the 100,000 in an attempt to be honest. I view this vehicle as primarily a parts car. Here is the listing as previously posted: I’ve owned this car for about 14 years. It’s been garaged the entire time. It was running when we started the restoration about 8 years ago. The restoration has dragged on for a variety of reasons, but basically I’m not going to be able to eat this thing when I retire. This is not a bad collection of parts if you own one or are rebuilding one. If you are quite ambitious and don’t mind that none of the numbers match, this could be a project car. I have a clear title. Before the restoration started, it needed a brake job including brake lines and a master cylinder and a shifter adjustment. I have some replacement parts that I purchased new and will include them in the sale (not the lines). Now the car is lacking at least a rubber kit, a front windshield, some of the rocker panel chrome rails, and the chrome turn signal assemblies that sit on top of the front fenders (I’m hoping they reappear). There is some pitting on the grille shell, but most of what appears in the photo is surface rust. Also, as we posed this thing, we caved in the rear passenger side fender. I tried, but the photos do not show the damage. Should not be a challenge to a good body man. Overall, the car’s metal is solid. Some of the chrome is in excellent condition while some chrome pieces need work. The aluminum parts are in pretty good or at least workable condition. There is a motorized antenna, but no radio. Here’s the bottom line… There are a lot of parts here. It’s basically a disassembled car with some extra parts that I picked up from time to time. There may be parts missing that I don’t know about but the collection is reasonably complete. I’m starting this at $1,800 which is not even close to what I got in it so don’t expect any guarantees. I’m not shipping it anywhere, so if you buy it be prepared to come and get it. And yes, I raised the starting bid $50. Thanks for looking.
